Inside Travis Kelce's Close Bond With Sister-in-Law Kylie Kelce
Travis Kelce formed a strong bond with his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, after she married Jason Kelce in 2018
Jason Kelceâs marriage to Kylie Kelce gave Travis Kelce âthe best sister a guy could ask for.â
Jason and Kylie tied the knot in 2018 and went on to welcome daughters Wyatt, Ellie and Bennett, announcing in 2024 that theyâre expecting baby girl No. 4. The little ones are fond of their âUncle Trav,â who gushed over his âbeautifulâ nieces during Kylieâs special episode of the brothersâ âNew Heightsâ podcast in September 2023.
âThis is a Kylie question, Jason, shut the fâ up,â Travis teased on the episode while asking about the coupleâs parenting dynamic.
The trioâs close bond was on full display throughout the podcast, with Kylie frequently making playful jabs at both her husband and brother-in-law. Kylie even joked that Travis â who plays tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs â is an âhonoraryâ member of Jasonâs Philadelphia Eagles family.
âWhenever you come to Philly, [people] say, âItâs Jasonâs brother!'â she told Travis. âThey love you here.â

While Kylie tends to stay out of the spotlight, she appeared alongside Jason, Travis and their parents â Ed and Donna â in the 2023 Prime Video documentary Kelce. Fans have also caught glimpses of her interacting with Jason while he records âNew Heightsâ with his brother virtually.

Heâll Never Forget Her Wedding DayTwo months after Kylie and Jasonâs wedding, Travis shared photos from the familyâs special day. âThrowinâ it back on a Thursday!! Following up a Super Bowl run with a two ring season!! Nicely played Jason⌠@kykelce I told you this already but youâre the best sister a guy could as[k] for!!â he captioned a June 2018 Instagram slideshow. âI donât know how but you keep this crazy man in line and you have one of the biggest hearts I know!!â

She Supports the Chiefs â SometimesWhen Travis and his team won the 2020 Super Bowl, Kylie celebrated with a sweet photo of daughter Wyatt sporting an âUncle Travâ outfit. âFeeling so grateful that we got to watch the insanely talented and hardworking @killatrav and the Chiefs win the Super Bowl this past weekend! Wyatt is so proud of her World Champion Uncle!â she gushed via Instagram at the time.

Months later, Kylie revealed on âNew Heightsâ that her kids recognize when Travis is playing. âThey understand that when thereâs green jerseys on the field that thatâs dad,â she said. âAnd vice versa, they do understand that when thereâs a red jersey on the field, that itâs Uncle Travisâ team.â
He Takes Her Dating AdviceKylie and Jason reminisced on the beginning of their relationship during her âNew Heightsâ episode in 2023, prompting Travis to joke that he should âget back onâ the dating apps. He asked Kylie whether he should use photos of himself with a mustache on his potential profile â and she gave him some tough love.

Travis replied, âThat doesnât even hurt my feelings, thatâs just smart.â (Heâs continued to rock the mustache while dating Taylor Swift.)
She Was a âCatching Kelceâ FanTravis starred on his own Bachelor-style dating series in 2016 titled Catching Kelce â which was filmed âearly onâ in Jasonâs relationship with Kylie. âI will say sitting in the stands and watching that debacle unfold was funny,â Kylie said on âNew Heightsâ in 2023.
Kylie was referring to the taping of the pilot episode, where 50 women from all 50 states were introduced to Travis. âThat was fun, Trav,â she said before Jason mentioned one contestant who was âcryingâ because it was âso coldâ during filming. âWas that not [the girl from] Alaska?â Kylie teased.

Her recollection of the short-lived series prompted Jason to joke, âKy, you were really into Catching Kelce! You remember what states everybody was from?â
They Arenât Afraid to Roast Each OtherKylie remembered her âwelcome to the Kelce [family] momentâ while chatting with Jason and Travis on âNew Heights,â describing the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii. âWe were there for Travis and it was the first time where everyone [in the family] was in the same place at the same time,â she recalled, noting that it was also the first time she met Travis.
Travis had his own memories of the âmagicalâ trip, telling listeners that Kylie was âshyâ at first â until the group started playing a drinking game. âYou were doing the exact same thing Jason was trying to do, which is never really to win the game. Itâs really just to trick the fâk out of whoever youâre playing with,â he joked. âAnd you were doing that with Jason. And I was just like, âOh wow, this is a tag team that is going to threaten America right here.'â

The roasting continued when Kylie returned to the podcast in December 2023 and dropped a subtle reference to his romance with Swift. While discussing their childhood pets, Kylie said she wanted to get a cat, but Jason wasnât on board. âI feel like you might like cats now,â she told Travis, saying that he should take her side in the debate. (Swift is the proud owner of three cats.)
He Supports Her Charity WorkThe entire Kelce family â including Travis â appeared at the annual Eagles Autism Challenge, which raises money for the Eagles Autism Foundation. Kylie is closely involved with the foundation and was inspired by a childhood neighbor who has autism.
Travis pressed his sister-in-law further about her dedication to the cause during her 2023 âNew Heightsâ appearance. âI just feel passionately that the Eagles Autism Foundation are doing their absolute best to impact the autism community through programs, through research. ⌠Every single dollar donated goes back to the autism community,â Kylie said, as Travis added, âAll the events that you guys throw to raise these funds look absolutely like they are just an absolute blast.â
They Gas Each Other UpKylie signed (and modeled) a limited edition vintage Eagles letterman jacket â similar to the style Princess Diana wore in the â90s â for a November 2023 auction benefiting the Eagles Autism Foundation. Travis was caught hyping her up in the comments section of the teamâs Instagram post, writing, â????ď¸Killin it Ky!! ????????.â
In its first two days it was up for auction, bids on the autographed jacket peaked at $20,000. It eventually sold for $100,000.
They Have Each Otherâs BacksDuring a September 2023 episode of âNew Heights,â Jason raised eyebrows (even his brotherâs) when he joked that the casual outfit he wore to the Kelce documentary premiere was Kylieâs fault. âI was gonna have jeans on, but Kylie ⌠was running late. I just came straight from football, Kylie was gonna bring the jeans. Kylie was late,â he told Travis, who asked the now-viral question, âWhy didnât Jason bring jeans for Jason?â
Kylie gave her side of the story while appearing on a holiday-themed episode of the podcast in December 2023. âJason didnât bring jeans for Jason because Jason thought that Jason was coming home in between,â she said, adding that her husband âwas getting surprisedâ by an old friend who was visiting for the occasion and didnât have time to change. âAnd then I was late, as per usual. ⌠Everybody else was early.â
Kylie then thanked her brother-in-law for standing up for her in the moment, saying, âThe way you had my back was incredible. ⌠I deeply appreciated that.â Jason agreed before Travis quipped, âI wasnât gonna let this guy do that. Just trying to be a good brother over here.â
A Super Bowl RematchKylie was presented with a challenge when both the Eagles and the Chiefs made it to the 2025 Super Bowl. She admitted during an appearance on Good Morning America that she felt âa little conflictedâ about who to root for but asserted her love for her brother-in-law.

The longtime Eagles fan shared more insight into her hopes for the Super Bowl on her podcast, âNot Gonna Lie.â
âI am so happy and proud of Travis and the Chiefsâ accomplishments,â she said in January 2025. âI think that the opportunity to play for such a historic milestone [three consecutive Super Bowl wins] is incredible to be able to potentially witness. And I think that Travis has been there for his entire career, he has worked so hard and put in so much time that I am truly, as always, cheering Travis on. I love him, heâs my family. So I will always cheer on Travisâ accomplishments and hopefully successes.â
Joking that she âwas raised to bleed green,â Kylie added, âUltimately, the plan is to go to the game and to cheer.â (Her and Jasonâs daughters, however, will be sporting âGo Uncle Travâ shirts.)
