Having spent six and a half years out of the ring, Shauna Browne is now just one win away from becoming the mandatory challenger for the WBC lightweight world title.
The 30-year-old Tipperary native faces Turkey's Elif Nur Turhan (9-0, 5 KOs) on the Lewis Crocker v Paddy Donovan card in Belfast this weekend as she aims to go 6-0 in the pro ranks after a whirlwind five months.
Browne landed a devastating knockout on Callum Walsh's homecoming card at the 3Arena last September before recording further victories in London and Australia's Gold Coast. Three of her five victories have come via stoppage.
She also flew out to America to help Katie Taylor prepare for her rematch with Amanda Serrano and is now chasing the belt the undisputed super-lightweight champion held until last December, with Caroline Dubois promoted to champion after the Bray Bomber vacated.
But Browne is taking it all in her stride and is solely focused on achieving her ultimate goal of becoming a world champion.

"It's another day at the office and it gets me one step closer to that big stage where I'm fighting for world titles and I'm unifying at weights that I want to unify in," said the Clonmel fighter.
"This is only small work leading to the big work that I'm about to do. So everything I'm doing is an opportunity to get to where I want to go and that's just the way that I look at it."
Browne has already achieved what many would have thought was unachievable, with teachers in school telling her that she would never amount to anything and she has loved nothing more than proving people wrong ever since.
"When you tell me I can't do something, I'm not joking you, I will do better, and I'll do it in style every single time," said Browne.
"I love nothing more than proving people wrong. It literally puts the fire in my belly more than you will ever know.
"So yeah, keep doubting me. Keep bringing the negative comments, because it never put me down in my whole entire life, and it isn't going to start now. It's got me to where I am today.

Browne only returned to boxing in 2022 after taking over six years out of the sport following an amateur defeat to Kellie Harrington as she worked running gyms.
And she is ready to steal the show in Belfast on Saturday.
"On paper, it's looking like a 50-50 fight because the two of us are going to turn up on our a-game wanting to win, but everyone who knows boxing knows what's going to happen," commented the southpaw.
"I'm going to come out, I am going to steal the show and I am going to get a massive W, but I'm going to do it in style."
Katie Taylor and Shauna O'KeeffeBrowne added: "She's going to come out and she's going to come out swinging. She's going to try to rough me up.
"People are saying she's strong, but I believe there's no one who hits as hard as I do in the 135 division and because I went up so high to come down to 135, I'm going to be the biggest 135 pounder I've ever been on the scales. You can guarantee I'm going to be a unit in the ring on Saturday.
"I guarantee the minute she feels my power, she's not going to want to know. She hasn't been in with anyone anywhere near my calibre.
"I've boxing IQ. I'm fast, I'm strong, and I can fight so I can do it all. So, yeah, it's going to be an interesting night."
