Jade Thirlwall reacts to news she will perform at Brit Awards
Jade Thirlwall has teased what to expect from her upcoming performance at this year's BRIT Awards.
Jade, 32, will take to the stage as one of the performers at the awards ceremony, which will be held at the O2 Arena in London tomorrow. The singer-songwriter is also a nominee in the Pop Act category and her debut solo single Angel Of My Dreams is up for Song Of The Year With Mastercard.
The singer - known mononymously as JADE - has now given an insight into her preparations ahead of performing at the BRITs, which will be hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall. It has been teased that her "stance" is that 'more is more'.
Recalling what she told the creative director on a planning call, she told Wonderland magazine: "'We want wigs, we want [costume] changes, we want story, we want dancers, we want lifts, we want tricks'." Jade added in the interview that she "always" enjoys having a "huge prop" on stage.
Further discussing the performance, she told the outlet: "[The Brits] is my first opportunity to have all the bells and whistles, do a big show and show people that I am a big Pop girlie." She teased: "Maybe I've been too ambitious."
It will be Jade's first solo performance at the BRITs, after having previously performed at the awards ceremony as part of Little Mix over the years. Their last performance together at the event was in 2019 - the year before Jesy Nelson left the group. Jade then remained in Little Mix with Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards, though the trio - who made history by winning Best Group in 2021 - are currently on a hiatus as they each pursue solo projects.

The BRIT Awards 2025 - which will be broadcast on ITV - is set to feature a host of other performers too. The line-up includes Myles Smith - who has already been named as the recipient of the Rising Star Award this year - and Sabrina Carpenter. Myles is a nominee in the Pop Act, Song of the Year and Best New Artist categories, whilst Grammy Award winner Sabrina is nominated for International Artist Of The Year and International Song Of The Year at the event.
The BRIT Awards 2025 with Mastercard will be broadcast on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player on March 1.
