Jake Gyllenhaal Fetes Ginori 1735 in Milan, Brand Celebrates Latest Oriente Italiano Collection
Ginori 1735 hosted a dinner with brand ambassador Jake Gyllenhaal, celebrating new Oriente Italiano colorways.
MILAN MINUTE: In the intimate atmosphere of Milan hot spot Langosteria Cucina, Kering-owned tableware- and ceramics-maker Ginori 1735 hosted a dinner with its brand ambassador Jake Gyllenhaal.
At the press dinner, held Sunday, the brand celebrated the latest colorways of the iconic Oriente Italiano collection: castagna and meringa (Italian for chestnut and meringue). Paying homage to the fine craftsmanship of the houseâs creations, guests mingled and feasted on a fish-based menu that included red snapper and spring onion tempura, charcoal grilled black grouper chateaubriand, paccheri pasta with a creamy sea bass sauce and more.

In October, Ginori 1735 rolled out the second chapter of its campaign fronted by the A-list actor. Set in Doccia, Tuscany, the campaign was set at Villa Ginori, which was the home of the Marquis Carlo Andrea Ginori, who founded the first Ginori porcelain factory 290 years ago.
The campaign was lensed by photographer Cedric Buchet, who was also in attendance, and who captured Gyllenhaal lounging barefoot around the Tuscan home, reading a book, sitting with his dog.Â
âI love the brand,â Gyllenhaal told WWD, adding that the team behind Ginori 1735 also made all the difference when he considered the design collaboration. When asked if he would consider another design collaboration, Gyllenhall shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and said: âIt really depends on the people.â
Amid the first chapter of the ad campaign revealed in April 2023, Alain Prost, chairman and chief executive officer of Ginori 1735, described the star as âa great master of his art, with a strong personal style,â who ânaturally embodies a timeless elegance and class that flawlessly express the perfect blend between heritage and innovation of our house.â
Elsewhere, the Oscar-nominated actorâs advertising partnerships have worked in tandem with his passions. In 2021, he signed on to be the face of Pradaâs Prada Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance rolled out in August 2021. Luna Rossa is the name of the Italian sailing team owned by Prada Groupâs Patrizio Bertelli. He also fronted the Prada Linea Rossa spring 2023 eyewear campaign. Langosteria founder Enrico Buonocore opened his first high-end seafood in 2007. He has since grown the business to encompass three more units, locations Paraggi near Portofino, Italy and Saint Moritz, Switzerland and unveiled a new concept, called Langosteria Cucina in 2020, next to his first eatery on Via Savona here.
