James Bond actor Bruce Glover dies aged 92
The actor was best known for playing Mr Wint in James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever.
Actor Bruce Glover, who notably portrayed the role of assassin Mr Wint in the James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever, has sadly passed away at the age of 92.
Upon learning of his father's passing, his son Crispin Glover, known for his role in Back to the Future, took to Instagram to share the news with a poignant tribute. He posted an endearing photo of himself as a child alongside his parents and penned the caption: "Bruce Herbert Glover. May 2, 1932 - March 12, 2025."

Although Crispin didn't reveal the cause of his father's death, the post garnered an outpouring of condolences and heartfelt messages from friends and fans, reports the Mirror.
One such comment recalled a fond memory of encountering Bruce: "Sorry to hear about your dad passing. I remember many years ago when you came to our house for boyscout, my dad was your boyscout leader. We lived on Gilmore Avenue and you and your family lived on the next street over.

"At the time I was a kid but I knew your dad was famous and yes I was a bit starstruck when he came to our house to pick you up and meet with my dad. I just wanted to tell you it was a treat to meet your dad."

Another fan expressed their condolences, reminiscing about an encounter with Bruce at a screening: "I had the privilege to sit across the aisle from him at a screening of "What Is It?" At the Egyptian theater. To say he was beaming with pride was an understatement. He was all class. My best to you and your family Mr. Glover."

Moreover, a third message sent condolences to the Glover family: "I'm so very sorry to hear this. It was a pleasure to meet and talk with you both in Chicago many years back."
Throughout his career, Bruce Glover made a lasting impact with significant film appearances in the 1970s, including Chinatown (1974), Walking Tall (1973), and Hard Times (1975). His acting career began after his service in the US Army from 1953 to 1955, which included a six-month stint in Korea.

Born in Chicago to parents Eva Elvira and Herbert Horman Glover, he was of Czech, English, and Swedish heritage.
Glover made his television debut in 1963's My Favourite Martian, followed by appearances in 1965's Perry Mason: The Case of the Golden Girls and The Rat Patrol in the same year. His credits also include roles in 1970's Mission: Impossible and The Dukes of Hazzard (1979).

However, his most notable role was alongside jazz musician Putter Smith as the assassin duo Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd in Diamonds Are Forever, featuring Sean Connery.
While Glover continued to act into the 90s, he also maintained his passion for teaching acting classes, something he had started in the 50s. Residing in his West LA home, he even expanded his property to accommodate an acting studio.
