James Martin shares major concern ahead of career move away from ITV show
Celebrity chef James Martin has opened up on his career in the public eye - and has revealed a major concern ahead of his live tour.
Celebrity chef James Martin is gearing up for his newest tour, moving away from his TV spotlight to entertain live audiences across the UK. Speaking with Cotswold Life magazine, he candidly discussed his excitement and nerves about his fifth tour which includes shows in England, Wales, and Scotland.
While he's performed before, this time he's apprehensive about living up to the high expectations his reputation has built. Naming big venues like Birmingham Symphony Hall, Newcastle 02, and Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, he expressed his fear of letting his fans down, saying, "If I walked out there and was rubbish...", leaving the sentence to hang as he contemplated the possibility.

Nevertheless, Martin is eager to create a unique show that differs from his familiar Saturday ITV routines. "People think the live shows are going to be like my Saturday morning show, but it's really not - it's fast-paced, fun comedy, made by a great team and it is really cool."
Reflecting on his ascent to fame, he spoke about a poignant experience, noting, "On my last tour we played a Sunday night at The London Palladium. Walking out on that stage, seeing my mum and dad in the audience was magical. They knew how much I had worked and for how long to get there."

He credits his formative years training in France for laying the foundation for his success, which was reported by the Express, reports the Mirror.
James quickly established himself in high-end restaurants and at the tender age of 24, he made his television debut with 'James Martin: Yorkshire's Finest'. However, it is his regular appearances on ITV's 'James Martin's Saturday Morning' and BBC's 'Saturday Kitchen' that have cemented his reputation as a culinary legend.
Away from the camera, James operates his own pubs and restaurants, including prestigious establishments such as The Lygon Arms and The Kitchen at Chewton Glen.
