CLEVELAND, Ohio â Jarrett Allen wonât return for the remainder of the Cavsâ contest against the New York Knicks on Friday at Rocket Arena due to a right hand injury.
While itâs a concern for the Cavs to be without their 6-foot-9 center â one of their most reliable players all season â thereâs some relief, as initial X-rays on Allenâs hand came back negative.
The Cavs are running away with the game against the Knicks, leading by as many as 39 points in the fourth quarter.
Allen, who had 10 points on 5 of 6 shooting from the field and three rebounds, likely would have been resting during the final period anyways.
Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau, who is known for using his starting unit extensively, didnât have his usual lineup on the floor to begin the fourth quarter.
The Cavs will come away with their league-leading 46th win of the season, even without their big man anchoring the paint for the latter half of the contest.
