Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush Reveal Which of Their Kids Is Most Like Grandpa George W. Bush
Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush revealed which of their kids is most like grandpa George W. Bush as well as grandma Laura Bush in a joint interview with 'People' published March 26.
Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush grew up in the White House, but the former first daughters—as well as their kids—don’t aspire to follow in their dad George W. Bush and grandfather George H.W. Bush’s political footsteps. Their five children might not dream of a future in politics, but the twins revealed that their father’s legacy is still very much alive in his grandkids—and one in particular reminds them of both their dad and mom for the sweetest reasons.
In a joint interview with People published on March 26, the Jenna and Friends host and Barbara revealed the youngest generation of Bushes aren’t setting their sights on a White House run just yet. "I don't think any [of my kids] are thinking political,” Jenna—who shares daughters Mila, 9, and Poppy, 11, plus 5-year-old son Hal, with husband Henry Chase Hager—revealed. “None of my children are like, 'Let me be the president.”

Barbara agreed with her sister, sharing that her kids—Cora Georgia, 3, and 7-month old baby Edward, whom she shares with husband Craig Coyne—also haven’t mentioned any presidential aspirations (although she quipped that her youngest is pretty preoccupied with “milk” at the moment).
Still, the sisters agreed that 3-year-old Cora is already showing some similarities to both her grandfather as well as her grandmother Laura Bush.

"We're still learning who she is, but she's very gentle, which I would say is Mom, and she's very creative. She loves making stuff, which—to our surprise—is my dad, who's an artist and a painter," Barbara shared. She also revealed that her daughter hopes to be like “Jefe” (their nickname for their dad) when it comes to his post-presidential career as an artist. Bush has released two art books—Out of Many, One as well as Portraits of Courage—since retirement.
"She loves nothing more than getting to go to Jefe's studio with him and paint,” she added. “Cora Georgia would say she's going to be an artist like Grandpa."

George last spoke about his grandkids when he shared an Instagram post announcing the birth of his youngest grandson in August 2024. "Welcome to the world, Edward Finn Coyne,” he wrote alongside a photo of Barbara, her husband, and the infant. “@laurawbush and I are proud grandparents of our newest blessing, born on August 4 and lovingly named in honor of his great-grandfathers. Congratulations to Barbara, Craig, and big sister Cora Georgia."
