Jo Woo Jin Transforms Into An Independence Activist Fueled By Burning Passion In Upcoming Film “Harbin”
Upcoming film “Harbin” has unveiled a new glimpse of Jo Woo Jin’s character!
“Harbin” is a spy film set in 1909, showcasing a thrilling chase and the web of suspicion between those heading to Harbin for a single purpose and those pursuing them.
Jo Woo Jin, who first gained widespread recognition for his role in “Inside Men,” will portray Kim Sang Hyun, an independence activist and Japanese interpreter who assists Ahn Jung Geun (Hyun Bin).
In the newly released image, Kim Sang Hyun is seen with a black fedora and a mustache, intently gazing at someone sitting in front of him. The moody, dark tone of the still hints at the character’s depth and strong charisma.
Jo Woo Jin shared, “While reading the script of ‘Harbin,’ I could feel my heart burning. This was a project that required not just ordinary determination, but a very strong resolve. To portray the independence activists of that era, I went through a process of isolating myself and getting closer to deprivation.”
Director Woo Min Ho explained the reason for his casting by saying, “I thought that a good person, a person with a kind heart and good will, should appear in ‘Harbin.’ In that sense, Jo Woo Jin was a perfect fit.”
“Harbin” is set to hit theaters on December 25.
