Jennifer Lopez Breaks Silence With Emotional Tribute After Losing Beloved Friend & Stylist
In an emotional tribute, Jennifer Lopez revealed she's been reeling since the unexpected death of her dear friend and stylist Jesus Guerrero.

Pop superstar and actress Jennifer Lopez says she is âstill in shockâ over losing her beloved friend and celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero, whose family announced his âunexpectedâ death on February 22, 2025, via a GoFundMe page. Guerrero was with the former âAmerican Idolâ judge in Abu Dhabi days before his passing at age 34, according to Page Six.
On February 25, Lopez broke her silence about Guerreroâs death with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, admitting sheâd spent several days trying to âfind the wordsâ to share about him.
âItâs no surprise your mother gave you the name Jesus,â she began her tribute. âYou were gentle and kind and loving, quiet and unassuming, but so powerful, and your presence was felt the minute you walked into any room. You never demanded the spotlight. You never needed to make a sound to be recognized, your heart and your talent did that as effortlessly as you artistry did.â
Guerreroâs death has been deeply felt by fellow celebrity hair and makeup artists, as well as stars he worked with regularly, including Kylie Jenner.

Lopez posted a black-and-white photo of Guerrero with her online tribute, in which she told her followers, âIâve been having trouble putting the words together the last few days. The truth is Iâm still in shock that such a beautiful young life has come to an end. It seems senseless and unfair.â
Guerreroâs family has not revealed a cause of death, other than to say that âhis death came very suddenly and unexpectedly.â
âI know your family is brokenhearted as am I and everyone else who knew you,â Lopez continued in her tribute. âYour spirit moved on to the next phase beyond this life but I know wherever you are there is beauty and light. And the beauty and light you left here will live on forever. Rest in peace, sweet angel⌠????â
Guerreroâs death has greatly impacted the celebrity stylist community he was part of, and many thanked Lopez for her beautiful tribute in her comment section.

Guerrero regularly worked with multiple celebrities who have also expressed their sadness over his death. On February 23, pop star Camila Cabello posted a photo of Guerrero standing in front of the Mona Lisa in Paris and wrote, âshocking day for everyone that knew you. you were a true artist, but most of all, a gentle and sweet energy gone too soon and we will all miss youâ
A few hours before Lopez posted her tribute on February 25, âKardashiansâ star and billionaire beauty maven Kylie Jenner posted her own photos and a lengthy tribute on social media.
âJesus was more than my friend,â Jenner wrote, âhe was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support. I donât know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter.â
Three weeks before his death, on January 31, Guerrero posted a photo of Jenner and wrote, âParis with my main girly!!! â¤ď¸â
Though Guerreroâs family originally set up a GoFundMe to pay for bringing his body and belongings home to Houston. But on February 25, with the fund at $96,000, they stopped the fundraiser and revealed that Jenner had offered to cover funeral expenses.
âDonations raised through this fundraiser will go toward the costs associated with securing his belongings home,â the family wrote in an update, as well as other unexpected expenses to settle his assets.â
