InStyle dubbed Lopez’s plunging gown a “revenge dress.” Lopez recently finalized her divorce from her ex-husband Ben Affleck.
According to InStyle, the gown was “a silky cowl neck creation in 2025’s hottest color” that showed off Lopez’s “toned torso from every angle” and included “an equally plunging cut in the back that ended right above her tailbone.”

InStyle reported that Lopez “mingled with other music industry titans like her manager Benny Medina, J Balvin, and David Guetta” at the Clive Davis event.
Earlier in the day on February 2, Lopez was photographed dressed down in jeans, a sweater and boots as she shopped for vintage furniture with her child, Emme, according to DailyMail.com.

Lopez may have been sending a message by setting photos of her in the dress to the song “Soltera” by Shakira.
The song includes lyrics about being single, such as, “I also have the right to be bad in order to have a good time. I’m free now, and I can do whatever I want. Being single is great.”
In the song, Shakira also sings about having a “phobia” for love. “There are many who hit on me. But few who give it to me. I’m selective, little experience,” the lyrics also say.
“THE SONG CHOICE HAD ME SCREAMING!!! ????????????” a fan wrote in Lopez’s comment thread. “Loving the Shakira reference queens supporting queens,” wrote another fan.
The Shakira reference also was not lost on many others. “I mean! The Shakira reference! Girl!!!!!! ????????????????????????????????????” a fan wrote on Lopez’s comment thread.
