Jeremy Clarkson makes motoring show return after announcing retirement

Jeremy Clarkson will make his return to the TV motoring genre in a forthcoming episode of Car SOS.
The former Top Gear host, 64, took a step back from the genre after the final episode of The Grand Tour aired in September 2024, which he co-hosted with longtime collaborators James May and Richard Hammond.
Clarkson has been focussing his attention on his Diddly Squat farm, which is the centre of the Amazon series Clarkson’s Farm, as well as his brewery company Hawkstone and recently-opened Oxfordshire pub, The Farmer’s Dog.
The TV presenter will make a brief return to the motoring genre alongside hosts Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend for a special episode of Car SOS, which sees Clarkson help repair and restore an old Land Rover Discovery Series 1. The episode will air in March.
Host Shaw has said in a recent interview that Clarkson kindly allowed the crew to film the final reveal of the motor at his home.
Shaw told The Daily Star: “Jeremy was happy for us to bring a full coach load of people. I mean, think about it – 60 strangers turning up at your property!”
He said: “We spent about half an hour with Jeremy and he was warm, friendly, and, of course, typically sarcastic and funny.
“He genuinely cared about the wellbeing of both the team, and most importantly, the car's owner.”

Co-presenter James May recently explained why his TV partnership with Clarkson and Hammond came to an end – saying that it was time to make way for the younger generation.
He said: “The idea was to land the car show format safely and not fly it into a cliff. We only cleared the cliff by a few feet but I think it will survive.”

Try for freeMay also said he wasn’t “in mourning” over the show’s conclusion as he thinks they “gave the format a really good thrashing and now it’s time to let a younger generation have a go”.

In an Instagram video last November, Clarkson confirmed that Clarkson’s Farm had been renewed for a fifth season, with the fourth set to be released soon.
“Over the years bright lights in the sky have been used to make many important announcements, the birth of the baby Jesus for example,” Clarkson told followers.
“But tonight they’re being used to make an announcement that’s even bigger than that. Season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm is coming.”

Is Jang Hye Jin the reason why Roh Jeong Eui wound up leaving her village on “The Witch”?
Based on “Moving” author Kang Full’s webtoon of the same name, “The Witch” is a mystery romance about a woman who distances herself from the world due to tragedy and a man who refuses to give up on her.

On the previous episode of “The Witch,” Park Mi Jeong (Roh Jeong Eui) was traumatized by the abrupt deaths of multiple students who had crushes on her. Plagued by rumors that she was a “witch,” Mi Jeong decided to quit school and stay cooped up inside at home. Even then, her mysterious “curse” followed her, and her father tragically died after saving her from a venomous snake bite.
In a preview that aired at the end of the episode, it was revealed that it was not Mi Jeong’s idea to leave the village; instead, it turned out that she had been pressured to leave by the other villagers. Most shocking of all, Lee Dong Jin (GOT7’s Jinyoung)’s mother Mi Sook (Jang Hye Jin) was seen standing at the forefront of the group asking Mi Jeong to leave. Later, while lying in a hospital bed, Mi Sook confessed to her son, “I was the one who chased that girl away.”
As Mi Sook was always kind, friendly, and generous to not only her son but also her neighbors, her unexpected and seemingly uncharacteristic involvement in Mi Jeong’s departure raised the question of whether something else had happened in the village after her father’s death.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming third episode, a remorseful Mi Sook brings up the incident with Mi Jeong, which had remained painfully buried in her heart. As she lies in the hospital with Dong Jin by her side, Mi Sook catches her son off guard with her shocking confession—and what she has to say ultimately makes Dong Jin determined to figure out and undo the “curse” that afflicts Mi Jeong.
The drama’s production team teased, “This week, the heartbreaking reason why Mi Jeong had no choice but to leave the village—and why Dong Jin wants so badly to help Mi Jeong return to an ordinary life—will be revealed.”
“Dong Jin will begin to dig into Mi Jeong’s ‘pattern of death’ in earnest,” they continued. “The true mystery will begin starting from Episode 3.”
The third episode of “The Witch” will air on February 22 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
