Jeremy Clarkson's unlikely replacement on The Grand Tour as Amazon eyes up star
Amazon is reportedly on the hunt for three new presenters to host The Grand Tour after Clarkson, Hammond and May stepped down.
Jeremy Clarksonâs replacement on Amazon Prime show The Grand Tour will likely surprise plenty of viewers â and itâs not who youâd expect. Clarkson, along with his co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May, stepped back from the programme last year, claiming they had grown âtoo oldâ to carry on with the high-octane driving show.
Now rumours abound that 24-year-old train enthusiast Francis Bourgeois could step into Clarksonâs presenting shoes. A source claimed to The Sun: âFrancis is a big noise online and Amazon producers are hoping to bring him into the mainstream. He is loved by everyone â from royals to rappers â and is sure to be a hit with Grand Tour viewers.â
The source added: âFrancis is not just a social media sensation but trained as a mechanical engineer so knows his stuff.â
Francis is no stranger to the world of TV, either, having presented his own Channel 4 series in 2022 taking celebrities like Aisling Bea and Chloe Burrows on his trainspotting adventures. He boasts 3.3million followers on TikTok and 2.4million on Instagram.
Amazon announced in March 2025 that four new episodes of The Grand Tour are set to be released after the trio retired the concept. These retrospective specials will look back at the best moments of the series. The titles have been confirmed as The Not Very Grand Tour: The Power And The Glory, The Grand-ish Tour: A Trip Down Memory Lane, The Grand-ish Tour: A Bit Further Down Memory Lane and The Grand-ish Tour: Completely Lost Down Memory Lane.
The network is now reportedly looking to replace the trio and continue the success of the programme with new presenters, after they were replaced on BBCâs Top Gear by Chris Evans, Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness.
