Following news of their separation last month, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are officially moving forward with a divorce. According to a new report from People, the Fantastic Four actress filed in Los Angeles on Friday, February 7, "citing irreconcilable differences and listing their date of separation as December 27, 2024." The couple were married for 16 years and share three children.

Last month, Alba took to Instagram to break her silence following the split.
"I've been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years—both as an individual and in partnership with Cash," she wrote. "I'm proud of how we've grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it's now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals."
A few days later, she then reposted a reel made by author Diego Perez to her story. The flick includes the message: "How do you build a good life? Relentlessly follow your intuition. Build with people who also love to grow. Take responsibility for your healing. Love yourself so deeply that you feel at home in your own body and mind. Teach yourself to forgive. Never stop being a kind person," in white letters on a black screen with soft piano music playing in the background. Alba added the simple caption, "This."

Warren and Alba's 16-year marriage came as a surprise for fans who have watched them hit the red carpet together since the early aughts. In retrospect, the only hint of trouble may have been Alba's appearance on the BDA Baby podcast back in April. Speaking with host Katherine Schwarzenegger, The Honest Company founder revealed that she and Warren were basically "roommates."
"It’s a lot of, like, checking the boxes," she said. “We have, like, obviously the friendship, the comfort of, like, ‘you’re not going anywhere,’ and so sometimes you don’t treat those people the best, right? You don’t consider their feelings in the way that you would consider other people’s feelings. So that is something that I think is a constant one to work on...If you’ve figured it out in your relationship, let me know.”
