Jiggly Caliente dead at 44: RuPaul's Drag Race star dies days after amputation

Jiggly Caliente has died at the age of 44. The RuPaul's Drag Race star passed away just days after she had undergone surgery to amputate her right leg.
The news was confirmed by her family today on social media. The tribute read: "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arebejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente."

The Mirror reports the social media statement added: "Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.

One person wrote: "My heart aches, I love you, i love you, i love you. It is my hopes that you are at peace now." Another said: "I love u so much babes. Thank you for your friendship.
"You always make me laugh and lit up every room. Your laugh is my favorite and I will always cherish you." And fellow drag queen Ella Vaday wrote: "Omg so sad, always so sweet to me, Rest in Power girl."

Jiggly Caliente was forced to amputate the majority of her right leg after she was rushed to hospital following a "severe infection", just days before her devastating death.
Confirming the news of social media, her family told fans: "The family of Bianca Castro, known to many as the beloved drag performer Jiggly Caliente, is heartbroken to share that over the last month Bianca has experienced a serious health setback.
"Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalised and, as a result, has undergone the loss of most of her right leg." Jiggly, who is also a judge on Drag Race Philippines, stepped back from the spotlight while trying to recover.

"She will not be appearing on the upcoming season, nor will she be participating in any public engagements for the foreseeable future. Her recovery will be extensive."
The family statement said at the time: "At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Bianca and her family as they navigate this difficult journey together.
