On the latest episode of âThe King of Mask Singer,â the identity of âLuminescent-Haired Anneâ was revealed!
During the November 24 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, eight new contestants entered the ring to challenge the reigning champion for the throne.
In the second match-up of Round 1, âLuminescent-Haired Anneâ faced off with her opponent through a duet performance of Tashannieâs âDay by Day.â

After their performance, the two contestants offered a hint at their identities by dancing together to the SMTOWN collab track âHot & Coldâ (originally sung by EXOâs Kai, Red Velvetâs Seulgi, NCTâs Jeno, and aespaâs Karina).

Luminescent-Haired Anne ultimately lost the round to her opponent, and she remained on stage to perform a soulful cover of Lee Hiâs âNo One.â Halfway through the song, she removed her mask to reveal that she was none other than BADVILLAINâs Emma, who first rose to fame on Mnetâs âStreet Woman Fighterâ before debuting as an idol earlier this year.

When asked how she had wound up becoming an idol after starting her career as a dancer, Emma explained, âI actually went to a performing arts high school because I wanted to become an idol. But because I ended up loving dancing so much, I kept dancing, and then I started wanting to become an idol again. So I wound up taking on this challenge.â
