Kamala Harris wasn’t on-stage at the FireAid concerts tonight in LA, but the former VP was certainly a star attraction.
The Democrats’ 2024 candidate for president and former Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff entered a box seat at the Intuit Dome Thursday to cheers as some of the biggest musicians around turned it up to 11 for the City of Angels.

Harris’ appearance was at one of the two FireAid shows was the second time in just over a week that she and Emhoff have stepped out for wildfire relief. Coming straight to devastated LA from DC after Donald Trump‘s swearing in on January 20, the couple went directly to a kitchen serving food to families affected by the fires. Even before the ex-Second Couple went to check in on their Brentwood home, which looked to be cased by alleged looters, they next went to visit First Responders to thank them for their efforts.

Recently having restarted his Hollywood legal career, Emhoff added in a post of his own on Elon Musk’s X that the Irving Azoff organized FireAid “shows the strength and resilience of our city as we begin to recover and rebuild from the devastating wildfires.”
Seeking to provide support and resources to the thousands and thousands of LA County residents who lost their homes and more from Altadena to Pacific Palisades to Pasadena and more when the hurricane strength winds and wildfires hit starting on January 7, the FireAid concerts are being performed at sold out shows at the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum. Featuring SoCal natives like Billie Eilish, Anderson .Paak, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dr, Dre, Katy Perry, and a reunited No Doubt, the concerts saw a rare reunion of remaining Nirvana members with St. Vincent, Sonic Youth vet Kim Gordon and Joan Jett pounding out tunes by the once Kurt Cobain-led grunge legends.
Streaming live on Peacock, Disney+ and many other platforms and outlets, the concerts’ line-ups also include Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Sting, and Tate McRae. Alanis Morissette, John Mayer (who played Tom Petty’s ‘Free Falling’) Dawes with Laurel Canyon legends Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, plus Green Day, John Fogerty, the Lady of the Canyon herselfJoni Mitchell, P!nk, Stevie Nicks, and The Black Crowes.
Her husband may have a new gig at bicoastal law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher, but a week or so out of office, Harris’ future is still not defined. Despite wide speculation, the former Veep hasn’t said if she will run for Governor of California in 2026. The Sacremento seat is open with Gavin Newsom termed limited. However, Harris is clearly not going quietly into the political wilderness — the 49th VPOTUS has formed an LLC called Pioneer49 to fuel her next big move.
