Kang Tae Oh and Lee Sun Bin will have to face the fallout from their drunken kiss on “The Potato Lab”!
tvN’s “The Potato Lab” is a new romantic comedy that centers on a rural potato research institute. Lee Sun Bin stars as Kim Mi Kyung, a researcher whose life revolves entirely around potatoes, while Kang Tae Oh plays So Baek Ho, a cold pragmatist who joins the institute as its new director.

The second episode of “The Potato Lab” ended with Kim Mi Kyung and So Baek Ho unexpectedly sharing a kiss while under the influence of alcohol. Reminded of the “sexy executive” character from her favorite romance novel, an intoxicated Kim Mi Kyung suddenly grabbed So Baek Ho and pulled him in for a kiss out of the blue.
In the next episode of the drama, the two characters must deal with the aftermath of this sudden development in their relationship. One newly released still from the episode shows Kim Mi Kyung attempting to escape her house through a window instead of the front door—only to run into So Baek Ho on her way out. Not having expected to cross paths with the man she kissed the night before, the startled Kim Mi Kyung wears an awkward expression as she attempts to play it cool.
Another photo captures So Baek Ho after he collapses on the floor in shock. In an unexpected turn of events, the highly principled So Baek Ho decides to “take responsibility” for the drunken kiss by responding with unusual measures.
The final stills hint at the evolving dynamic between the leads, with So Baek Ho gazing emotionally at Kim Mi Kyung as she reacts with surprise at the change in his demeanor.
The drama’s production team teased, “In Episode 3, which airs tomorrow, So Baek Ho—who has definitely made Kim Mi Kyung’s heart flutter—will make an unusual decision. So Baek Ho’s bold pursuit that begins after their surprise drunken kiss will make viewers’ hearts flutter as well.”
They continued, “Please keep an eye on how Kim Mi Kyung responds to So Baek Ho’s transformation, as well as the intriguing change in their dynamic.”
The third episode of “The Potato Lab” will air on March 8 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
