In 2022, Kanye West's Twitter account was suspended. Just over two years later, he returned to the platform with a wide-ranging rant.

Just over two years after Kanye West’s posts got him banned from Twitter, now X, the rapper took to the platform with a rant in support of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Bianca Censori, and Adolf Hitler. In 2022, Twitter suspended West’s account because of his antisemitic comments. He doubled down on the sentiment in dozens of posts from Thursday night into Friday morning.

Following Combs’ arrest in 2024, many of his celebrity friends have worked to distance themselves from him. West, however, expressed his unconditional support.

“FREE PUFF,” he wrote in one post. In another, now-deleted post, West directly called on Donald Trump to free Combs from jail. The disgraced mogul is currently in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. More than 150 people have accused Combs of sexual assault.

West also addressed celebrities who have not supported Combs.

“ALL THESE CELEBRITY N***** AND B****** IS P**** YALL A WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY S***.”

He then said he was selling a collaboration between his brand, Yeezy, and Combs’, Sean John. He also referred to Combs as his “idol.”

In later posts, West doubled down on the antisemitism that got his account suspended in 2022. He said he hopes to “normalize” talking about Hitler and praised him.

“Hitler was sooooo fresh,” he wrote.

He also called himself a Nazi and said he loved the dictator.

“I LOVE HITLER NOW WHAT B*****ES,” he wrote.

“CALL ME YAYDOLF YITLER AND YOUR B***** STILL WANTS TO F***,” he wrote in another post.

On Friday, the American Jewish Committee condemned West’s posts.

“Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) continues to purposefully use his platform to spew anti-Jewish hatred,” they said in a statement. “While some may dismiss his hateful rants, we cannot overlook the dangerous influence they can have on his millions of followers, particularly on social media, where a significant portion of today’s antisemitism thrives. Hate, left unchecked, only multiplies.”

They also urged those with large platforms to “call out this blatant hatred.”

In 2022, posts like these got West’s account suspended because he violated the platform’s rules against inciting violence.

“I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence,” Elon Musk tweeted in a reply (per CNN). “Account will be suspended.”

West did not apologize for his antisemitic posts, but he said he did not associate with any hate groups.

“I have no association to any hate group,” West said in a video. “If any hate happens upon any Jewish person, it is not associated (gestures to himself) because I am demanding that everyone walk in love.”

Roughly eight months later, Twitter restored West’s account. Musk has not commented on West’s most recent posts. In recent years, X has faced criticism for a rise in hate speech on the platform.
