Kanye West dropped by talent agency following anti-Semitic posts
Kanye West has been dropped by his talent agency following the rapper's anti-Semitic and highly controversial social media posts.
Kanye West has been dropped by his talent agency following his highly controversial posting spree on social media last week.
Per a Variety report, West â now legally known as Ye â was dropped by his agency, the Los Angeles-based 33&West on Monday (February 10). At 33&West, Kanye was represented by agent Daniel McCartney who took to social media to announce that he and the agency would be severing all ties with the rapper.

According to Varietyâs reporting, McCartney wrote in a now-expired Instagram story that 33&West were dropping Kanye âeffective immediatelyâ, explaining it was was âdue to his harmful and hateful remarks that myself nor 33&West can stand for.â

Rolling Stone also reports that a staff member who worked at Kanye Westâs company Yeezy (also known as YZY) had quit the company following the rapperâs offensive posting streak over the weekend.
Per Rolling Stone, the staffer was identified as Eric Cui, and that he at one point served as Yeezyâs Chief of Staff. Cui wrote in about his exit: âI loved working at YZY because I believed in your dream. I believe in free speech⊠so I will use my free speech to say that violence and crimes against women and children is wrong.â
Cuiâs exit comes after Kanye last week posted a series of tweets in support of Diddy and Chris Brown and urged for the former to be released from prison amid sexual abuse allegations.

Following his support for Diddy and Brown â the latter of whom has been charged with domestic abuse and assault several times â Kanye West would go on a tweeting spree on X (formerly Twitter) that would see him claim âdominionâ over his wife Bianca Censori and withdraw his apology to the Jewish community for past anti-Semitic comments, as well as declaring himself as âa Naziâ.

He had also tweeted âI love Hitlerâ, praised billionaire and X-owner Elon Musk as âthe most lit person that [has] ever been on Twitterâ and claimed that all other people look up to him. Musk himself had drawn criticism and allegations of Nazism earlier this year when he made two Nazi-like gestures during Donald Trumpâs presidential inauguration.
Other posts saw him mock other marginalised communities, claiming âslavery is a choiceâ among other controversial opinions. He then wiped his website and is only selling a white t-shirt with a large swastika on the chest listed as âHH-01â. The garment is priced at $20, with the listingâs name of âHH-01â possibly a reference to the âHeil Hitlerâ chant that would accompany Nazi gestures.
