Tucked away in the industrial heart of Los Angeles, Kanye âYeâ Westâs enigmatic warehouse is more than just a creative space. This compound is ground zero for Westâs unfiltered imagination, from fashion prototypes to unreleased music and architectural experiments. However, Westâs neighbors are growing concerned over whatâs going on in the warehouse, as theyâve reportedly filed noise complaints and reported odd sightings.
Kanye âYeâ West reportedly owns a building on the corner of Beverly Boulevard and Kingsley Drive in East Hollywood. Itâs unclear exactly what happens in the warehouse, but his neighbors are growing concerned by what they see and hear. The neighbors spoke to KTLA on April 23, 2025, about hearing âchantingâ and loud music.
âThey put up metal walls now, so we donât know whatâs going on,â resident Conor Tierney told the news outlet. âThen, [we heard] a chanting of only men dressed in black ⌠itâs been weird to see.â
West has reportedly held rehearsals and casting calls at the location in the past few months.
âThere are raves and concerts here on the weekends,â resident Justin Wang said. âOn weekdays, thereâs been noises, thereâs been groups of men doing push-ups and other exercises over here, and you can hear music blaring from the parking lot.â
âI have no idea what [the building] is ⌠itâs kind of a mystery to me,â said resident Myra Mendoza. âI would say [the noise] bothers my older neighbors ⌠itâs the kind of music I personally listen to, but it is pretty loud at night.â
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to seven noise complaints from the warehouse since the beginning of 2025. Additionally, the department reported a hate crime for a swastika painted on the side of the building.
âItâs across the street from a school, and I donât think kids should necessarily deal with that imagery, especially if they donât know what it means,â Tierney added.
Kanye âYeâ West is doing a lot more than just blaring loud music in his LA warehouse. According to TMZ, West posted an âurgentâ advertisement seeking âAFRICAN AMERICAN MALESâ for his âhooligan choir.â The ad noted that West wanted men to wear all black and have the complexion of Sean âDiddyâ Combs. Additionally, the men had to be âCOMFORTABLE WEARING SWASTIKAS.â
The outlet noted that Black men with shaved heads were spotted standing in military formation to try out for whatever West has up his sleeve. Itâs unclear exactly what West has planned.
West previously shocked the world with his antisemitic posts on X. He was suspended from Twitter after posting an image that combined a swastika with the Star of David, a symbol of Judaism. While speaking to Alex Jones, West added, âI see good things about Hitler,â and, âWe gotta stop dissing the Nazis all the time.â
During the turbulent months of his high-profile divorce from Kim Kardashian, Kanye âYeâ West retreated into the solitude of a warehouse. An anonymous source contacted Deuxmoi in 2021 to say West lived in his Soho warehouse after publicly begging Kardashian to ârun right backâ to their marriage. Itâs unclear if the warehouse is the same one West owns today. Given the context, it seems itâs likely the same space.
âKanyeâs been living at soho warehouse in dtla [sic],â the source alleged, according to RadarOnline. âCasually walks and hangs out. Been here since hoover concert [sic].â
Court documents revealed that Kardashian would receive the coupleâs multi-house Hidden Hills property in the divorce. The couple bought the property for $20 million in 2014.
