Baroness Karren Brady has built an incredible career and fortune and had a long and happy marriage, but has faced struggles too in her life. She has become a household name thanks to her long run on BBC show The Apprentice as a trusted advisor to Lord Alan Sugar.
Karren, 55, joined the show as a guest interviewer in 2008 and later became an assistant to Lord Sugar on the show in 2009. She is known for her no-nonsense advice and withering looks.

Karren Brady's 'fightenting' health diagnosis after routine check
In 2006, Karren's world was rocked by a scary health diagnosis. She was told she had a brain aneurysm after going for a routine health check.
She said she was told she had just 30% chance of survival. Speaking to The Guardian, Karren said: "The more you read on the internet, the worse it gets - you panic.
"I was terrified that I would die or have a stroke at any minute. The only time I cried was looking at the brain aneurysm foundation website: it was so frightening."
Karren underwent a five-and-a-half-hour operation and was in intensive care. She added:"In the seven days between deciding on the treatment and having surgery, I was in such a state of shock. I felt a sort of sadness that it had happened to me - you do think, why me?
"I realised how fragile life was. What really scared me, though, was the thought of my children being without me."
Karren Brady's growing family and marriage to ex footballer
Karren is married to Canadian former football player and ex-Burton Albion coach Paul Peschisolido. The couple met in 1993 while Karren was serving as managing director of Birmingham City FC.
They married in 1996 and have two children, Sophia and Paolo. In an interview with The Sun, Baroness Brady gave a touching view of their relationship, stating: "My husband is my best friend. Our careers sort of went like this [she points in different directions].
"When the kids were younger, he was a footballer travelling all over the world and I was based at home. And then when he retired, I moved to London to run West Ham.

"We've always been there for each other and supported one another. There's never been any jealousy or one-upmanship or anything like that.
"What we have in common is the complete love for both of our children, and their health and wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do."
Karren's daughter, Sophia Peschisolido, welcomed a baby boy last year, making Baroness Brady a granny at the age of just 54. Sophia, 27, who is a social media influencer, gave birth to a baby boy in March 2024.
She had announced she was expecting her first child with partner Frankie Makin. The caption read: ‘Our son, never known a love like this 28/03/24’.
Karren broke her silence on becoming a grandmother on The Apprentice spin-off You're Fired last year. "He is the most beautiful little boy in the world and my daughter is a natural mother," Karren gushed.
She added: "And mother and baby are doing so well and I'm so proud of her, and her family, and her husband and everyone's really well so it's great."
Karren Brady's impressive career and net worth
Karren has takled about her early "money-making schemes" when she was as young as six. She would earn money setting up car washes and providing manicures and pedicures with her brother Darren.
When she was turned down for a journalism course at Harlow College, she started her career at advertising giant Saatchi and Saatchi and swiftly climbed the ladder. She landed a role at LBC as an advertising account executive.
At just age 23, Karren became managing director at Birmingham City Football Club during a time when the club was in administration. She has been the vice-chairman of West Ham United since 2010.
As of 2024, Karren has an net worth of around £93 million.
