Prince William and Kate Middleton have been doing their best to give their three children the most normal lives possible. The Prince and Princess of Wales have been raising Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis outside of the royal spotlight, and the kids all currently attend the same school.
Still, as Prince George enters his pre-teen years, his education is once again top of mind. It remains unclear what school George will attend for this pre-college years, but Kate was reportedly recently touring some options, which has some thinking a decision on George’s future might depend on where the princess believes is the best fit for her son.

She has always been a hands-on mom, and George, Charlotte, and Louis are just now beginning to spend a little more time in the spotlight. Still, Kate and William don’t want their children to be too exposed to royal life until they’re older.
George’s education is so important to William and Kate, and rumor has it Kate was spotted touring some schools in the London area — potentially to enroll her son when he’s finished at Lambrook School, where all three children are currently enrolled.
William attended Eton, but Kate might have other plans. “With the year Catherine has had, she may well have thought to herself that she wants to soak up every drop of George’s childhood and tuck him into bed herself each night,” a source close to the princess told Daily Mail. There is certainly a possibility that Kate wants nothing to do with sending her kids to boarding schools.
Although there is speculation that the tours were for George, that has not been confirmed. Kate was spotted touring University College School in Hempstead, and later, sources confirmed that Highgate School, which is only about two miles away from UCS, was closed so a private visitor could tour. The assumption is that it was Kate.
William and Kate have not said much about where their kids will attend school, but Kate attended Marlborough School, a boarding school that costs more than $60,000 per year, and that is also reportedly a contender. For now, though, the family has some time to decide where George should go, as he still has another year and a half at his current school.
