Kate Middleton's 'enormously difficult' struggle with royal life sparks change
The Princess of Wales has reportedly found it "enormously difficult" when the central focus of her engagements has been the outfit she is wearing, rather than her work prompting a huge change

The Princess of Wales reportedly struggles when the focus is on her fashion choices rather than her charitable endeavours during public engagements. Since marrying Prince William in April 2011, Kensington Palace has regularly disclosed details of her outfits to select press members.
However, this practice will soon cease as her recent health battle has shifted her perspective and she no longer desires the attention to be on her wardrobe, it's been claimed. It's understood that Kensington Palace may still share outfit details for significant events, but not for other Royal duties.
A palace insider claims that the mother-of-three wishes to keep the spotlight on the "issues, people, and causes she is highlighting", rather than her attire. She acknowledges there will always be public interest in her fashion choices, a palace source told The Times.

"There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is wearing from some of the public and she gets that."
"But do we need to be officially always saying what she is wearing? No. The style is there but it's about the substance," reports the Express.
A close friend of the princess revealed that Kate understands the interest in her attire if she's attending high-profile events like film premieres or the Trooping of the Colour.
However, it was "enormously difficult" for Kate to have the main focus on her attire rather than her work, especially when she first started her Royal duties. A source told the publication: "[She] was going out and doing the work she was interested in and was hugely important to her, and people just talked about what she was wearing."
