Katy Perry Announces U.S. Dates for Lifetimes Tour, Including Miami Stop
Despite 143's dissapointing reception, Katy Perry will tour the globe in 2025, including a show at the Kaseya Center.
Pop music powerhouse Katy Perry is set to return to Miami on her highly anticipated Lifetimes Tour. The concert will take place at theKaseya Centeron Saturday, August 23. This will be her first major tour sincethe Witness Tourin 2017 and 2018.
The announcement comes after a pivotal time for Perry. Her latest album, 143, struggled to gain the favor of listeners and critics alike. It was marred by controversy thanks to Perry's decision to work with producer Dr. Luke, who has been accused of sexual assault by singer Kesha. While Dr. Luke has continued to work with big names like Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, Kim Petras, and Coi Leray, Perry's decision to work with him for the first time since 2013's Prism proved to be too much for soon, as Perry was somewhat involved with Kesha's original lawsuit.
It didn't help that 143's lead single, "Woman's World," was a dud. In her review of the track, the Guardian's Laura Snapes wrote, "It's a song that made me feel stupider every sorry time I listened to it." Not even Doechii's involvement in the single "I'm His, He's Mine" could change the conversation around the album.
Still, Perry is nothing if not resilient. Despite the underwhelming reception of 143, Perry has shown that her star power is far from fading. Last year, she received the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs and headlined Rock in Rio in Rio de Janeiro.
The Lifetimes Tour kicks off in Mexico, where she'll perform seven arena shows before heading to Australia. In Australia, ticket demand was so overwhelming that five additional shows were added to her initial eight-date arena lineup. Following her success Down Under, Katy will return to North America this summer. Along with crisscrossing the U.S., she's set to play seven sold-out arena shows in Canada.
In September, Perry will take her talents to South America. Her Buenos Aires arena dates have already sold out, and tickets for her stadium show in Chile are selling fast. The tour will culminate in the UK and Europe, where Perry's immense popularity has led to multiple added dates in cities like London and Paris.
Tickets for the North American dates go on sale Friday, January 31, at 10 a.m. Citi and Verizon customers have access to the
