Katy Perry 'pees her pants' in space as she as she makes three-word comment
Katy Perry, 40, made history this afternoon when she joined the first all-female crew to fly to space on board the Blue Origin.
Singer Katy Perry revealed that she had an embarrassing moment during her journey to space on the Blue Origin mission, admitting she 'peed her pants' due to the intense experience.
The 40-year-old "Teenage Dream" singer embarked on the 11-minute flight at 2:30pm, accompanied by author Lauren Sanchez, 55, TV host Gayle King, 70, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, 33, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, 38, and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn, 57.

As the rocket lifted off from the launch facilities in West Texas, Perry was visible inside, cheering as mission control counted down and flames erupted from the craft's base. When the rocket reached "supersonic" speeds and soared into the sky, mission control confirmed everything "looks good", prompting Perry to exclaim "oh my god" at the sight of the moon.
After the two spacecraft separated at 28,000 feet and began their descent back to Earth, Perry was heard screaming, "Omg guys I peed my pants".
Upon landing safely, Katy stepped out of the vehicle, kissed the ground, and poignantly held up a daisy to the sky - a touching tribute to her four-year-old daughter Daisy, which she had brought along on her historic space mission.
Mission control declared "booster touchdown" as the spacecraft settled onto the launch pad, while the astronauts descended jubilantly in a separate craft equipped with a parachute. A cloud of dust rose as the crew landed, and Katy's daughter Daisy was spotted observing, as rescue teams hurried towards the vessel.
Bezos welcomed the astronauts as they stepped out of the ship, with Perry triumphantly raising her arms before stooping to kiss the ground. Bezos offered his congratulations, to which she responded: "Thank you."
Katy's historic journey marks the first all-female crew since Russian engineer Valentina Tereshkova's solo mission in 1963.
During their voyage, Katy and her four crewmates enjoyed four minutes of weightlessness, allowing them time to drift and admire the Earth through the capsule's expansive windows before it returned to the planet's surface, aided by three parachutes.
Prior to her transformative space adventure, the "Roar" singer completed some eleventh-hour astronaut training in Texas on Sunday, as shown in images posted online by BlueOrigin. Katy also shared her own snapshots, humorously vowing to put "the 'ass' in astronaut" before her thrilling expedition, in a post that included Ms Sanchez.
The duo appeared in blue flight suits, custom-designed by Ms Sanchez for the mission.
Katy, one of the world's top-selling music artists with over 115 billion streams, is thrilled at the prospect of joining the exclusive club of women who have been to space. To date, 100 women have taken part in spaceflights, and Katy, alongside Lauren, Gayle, Amanda, and Aisha, will makeup the latest contingent.
Ms Sanchez expressed her excitement and hope for inspiration in a video message, saying that the mission could encourage people to "dream big". "If someone would have told me that I would be able to go to space one day, I would have definitely, well, I don't know, laughed", she admitted.
She shared her disbelief and excitement: "I can't believe it's happening. My dad used to teach people how to fly, and I used to hang around the hanger and I thought dreaming of becoming a pilot was a huge deal, and this is even bigger."
She also underlined the significance of storytelling by the accomplished women involved in the flight: "The incredible women that are going on this flight are extraordinary in all of their fields, but more importantly, they're incredible storytellers. So what I'm hoping for is, this flight is not just transformative for them, but also for all of the people that they tell their story to. Hopefully it sparks that imagination to a dream big and reach for the stars."
Blue Origin has been providing tourists with brief space trips since 2021. While some lucky passengers have enjoyed complimentary trips, others have forked out large sums to feel weightless.
At 61, Mr Bezos himself went up with his brother on the very first journey.
