Amazon Prime Video has unveiled a glimpse into its new action-packed thriller, produced by the team behind The Tourist.
The Assassin, which was written by sibling writing duo Harry and Jack Williams, stars Miss Austen's Keeley Hawes and The Good Doctor's Freddie Highmore as skilled fighters.
It sees retired assassin Julie (Hawes) as she is forced to work with her estranged son, Edward (Highmore), in a fight for survival.
Their mission is complicated by Julie's seedy past coming back to haunt her and Edward's paternity being brought into question.
The six-episode series was filmed on location in Greece, which serves as its stunning backdrop.

The first look images, released on Thursday (February 13), show Hawes fiercely looking into the distance on the remote island.
She is also pictured showing off her character's skillset by holding up a rifle.
According to the official synopsis, the Greek island plays a key role in the story as "the pair are forced to flee the island and go on the run together."

Elsewhere in the images, Highmore is seen looking stunned by something he has just discovered.
Speaking about the upcoming drama, the Bates Motel actor teased that 'it's going to be quite some six episodes.'
He said: "It doesnât get better than a Greek adventure alongside the lovely and incomparable Keeley Hawes! Iâm really excited for people to glimpse some of what weâve been up to.
"It was a joy to collaborate with such a brilliant cast and crew, and I feel very lucky that Harry and Jack Williams entrusted us with their characteristically thrilling writing⌠Other than that, all I can say is that itâs going to be quite some six episodes!"

Hawes similarly gushed about the production crew, stating: "I feel so lucky to have spent the summer in Athens with the wonderful Freddie Highmore and surrounded by a cast and crew of such high calibre.
"Bringing Jack and Harryâs spectacular scripts to life was an absolute joy - going to work has never been so much fun. I hope everyone enjoys The Assassin as much as we did."
Starring alongside Hawes and Highmore, who are also executive producers, is Riverdale's Gina Gershon, Baby Reindeer's Shalom Brune-Franklin and The Morning Show's Jack Davenport.
The Assassin will premiere on Prime Video.
