Kelly Stafford earned the wrath of some Swifties after she discussed Taylor Swift on a recent episode of her podcast.
Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, said she was âtiredâ of all the attention Swift, 35, was receiving during NFL broadcasts on a November 2024 episode of her âMorning Afterâ podcast. âIt was a good business decision for the NFL, but I almost felt like it was outshining the games,â Kelly said. âAnd thatâs what bothered me.â
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Kelly â who has professed her love of Swiftâs music and took her four daughters to the âEras Tourâ in October 2024 â recalled the backlash she received from fans of the pop star.Â
âHonestly, I did get a lot of heat from them,â said Kelly, who spoke to Us via her Sleep Number partnership. âI was like, âWhoa, I love Taylor.ââ

âWhen youâre constantly seeing someone on your social media every scroll, you kind of lose that love, you know?â Kelly explained. âThatâs what I was saying. I was like, âIâm seeing her every second, Iâm never wondering about what sheâs doing.ââ
With that being said, Kelly still thinks Swift should be shown on camera during the Super Bowl LIX broadcast on Sunday, February 9, when Swiftâs boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.Â

âFor sure you show her,â Kelly said. âSheâs doing the same thing Iâm doing or [wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes] Brittany Mahomes is doing. Sheâs there supporting the man that she loves. If youâre gonna show families, youâre gonna show family. She is Travis Kelceâs family. So youâre definitely going to show her.â
When sheâs not being flooded by angry Swifties, Kelly recently opened up on her podcast about how negative remarks about her looks have taken a negative toll on her mental health.Â

âComments that are mean, they hurt my feelings,â Kelly told Us. âI have feelings and Iâm not going to sit here and act like I donât. Iâve tried to develop some thick skin to understand what my values are and sticking to those regardless of what people say about me.â

Who Are You Cheering for at the 2025 Super Bowl?
Luckily, Kelly can drown out the social media haters in her customizable Sleep Number bed â which comes in handy thanks to the different habits of her and her football star husband.Â
âHe likes to be cold and on a firm type of bed, while I like to be surrounded by a cloud and warm and comfy,â Kelly explained. âThe Sleep Number bed allows us to do that. We can sit up, we can lay down, we can do it at different times. Especially during the [NFL] season, heâs in bed and asleep at eight oâclock because heâs getting up at five [a.m.]. Meanwhile, Iâm still up cleaning the house, doing what I need to do.â
