Kelsey Parker says 'some people aren't happy' after sharing new pregnancy joy

Kelsey Parker has candidly opened up about moving forward in her life with new love, despite facing criticism.
The mother-of-two, who sadly lost her beloved husband, Tom Parker of The Wanted, to a brain tumour back in 2022, has since found companionship with Will Lindsay and is now expecting a bundle of joy.
During a heartfelt chat on ITV's Lorraine on Tuesday (25 February), Kelsey shared the tough times she's faced with judgement and online trolls.
She expressed her frustration by saying: "I'm just so happy but some people aren't happy and it does upset me but like you said, 'walk a day in my shoes'. Live my lived experience then you might have a different opinion."
Kelsey Parker spoke about how some people are not too happy with her newfound love (Image: ITV)Drawing parallels between herself and the popular film character Bridget Jones, who also handles the challenge of finding love after loss in her latest movie adventure, Kelsey added depth to the conversation.
Lorraine praised Kelsey for how wonderfully her children are doing, to which Kelsey related her own experience to a moment from Bridget Jones's story, saying: "Bridget talks about that in the film. Because they've lost their dad, I have given them all of me. I've been mum and dad to them. So they probably have a bit too much of mummy, but I'm compensating for them losing their dad."
Kelsey has since found love again following Tom's passing (Image: Instagram/@being_kelsey)The excited soon-to-be mum shared the excitement of her kids, Aurelia, five, and Bodhi, four, over the arrival of their new brother or sister. Kelsey reflected on the positive side of things, commenting: "It's nice for them to have some joy and happiness."
Bodhi was just 18 months old when he lost his dad, Tom, and Kelsey Parker has described their life since as one filled with sadness. But in sharing her pregnancy news, she sees a beacon of hope: "Bodhi was 18 months when Tom died, it's been a life of sadness for him. It's a light at the end of our tunnel," she confided, reports the Mirror.
Tom sadly passed away in 2022 (Image: Getty Images Europe)Kelsey, showing optimism, added, "It's good for them to see me happy. Me being sad in bed not being able to get up, devastated at the loss of their dad, I'm now happy."
In spite of any negative posts online, Kelsey mentioned that Tom's mum is fully supportive of her joy: "Noreen said as long as you're happy, we're happy, and she's so excited to have a new grandchild."
The strong family bonds persist despite distance, "They're up north, so it's hard for us to see each other, but every Sunday we FaceTime or whenever anything happens. Aurelia recently won her school talent show, and straight away we went to FaceTime, the children have such a good relationship with their grandparents."
