Kelsey Parker shares Tom's mum's emotional reaction to pregnancy news

Kelsey Parker is beaming as she shares the news of her pregnancy with her new boyfriend, 27 year old Will Lindsay. The joyous announcement comes with a touch of melancholy for Kelsey, who reflects on the dreams she shared with her late husband, The Wanted's Tom Parker, about having four children.
Tom's untimely death from brain cancer in March 2022 at the age of just 33 left Kelsey a young widow with their two adorable kids, five year old Aurelia and four year old Bodhi. "Tom and I always said we wanted four – but life had other plans. So yes, this is amazing but also bittersweet", Kelsey candidly shares, embracing the mixed emotions of moving ahead in life while honoring past dreams. "The joys of finding out I'm pregnant and moving forward with my life, while thinking, 'My life could have been so different...' I've felt every emotion under the sun. I'm still getting my head around it but I'm so excited."

“Tom’s mum Noreen gave me her blessing instantly. She can’t wait to have another grandchild. All I care about is that both our families and Tom’s family are happy. "
Kelsey warmly speaks of her kinship with Noreen. "Noreen is the most amazing lady. After Tom passed, she said to me, 'As long as you're happy Kels, whatever you do, we will always support you and be happy for you.' We've all been through so much together. But I'm here and bringing another baby into the world."
Kelsey's life continues to be graced by the memory of Tom, and her new beau, Will, is fully supportive. He said, "Tom was a massive part of Kelsey's life – they were together for over 13 years, and had two beautiful children. So it's normal to talk about him a lot. I think it would be weird if we didn't."

"Will once said he never wants me to not talk about Tom," Kelsey said. "He talks about him and loves hearing stories about him. There's a massive picture of Tom upstairs. He walked past it once, smiled at me and went, 'Oh, he's handsome though, isn't he?!"
During an emotional appearance on ITV's Lorraine, Kelsey opened up to Ranvir Singh about how Tom's parents, Noreen and Nigel, have been pillars of support. She expressed her gratitude: "I've got such an amazing village and even with Tom's parents Noreen and Nigel, they have supported me with whatever I've decided to do and they understand how hard it is."
Kelsey also shared the enduring presence of Tom in their home: "For us at home, Tom is so alive in our house and we speak to him everyday. For my children, they are still babies and they are still processing it everyday so these conversations are never going to go away and we are still dealing with the conversation."
