With the NFL playoff season in full swing, Super Bowl LIXÂ is just around the corner. The Washington Commanders will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday (Jan. 26) for the right to play for the title. Later that day, the Buffalo Bills must defeat two-time defending champs the Kansas City Chiefs for a shot at the franchiseâs first-ever Lombardi Trophy. It all comes to a head Sunday, Feb. 9, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Grammy-winning hip-hop star Kendrick Lamar is set to hype up the crowd during this yearâs halftime show. And with SZA recently announced as a special guest, it promises to be an electrifying performance.
SolĂĄna Imani Rowe, who goes by the stage name SZA, indirectly owes her career to Kendrick Lamar. She met members of the âeuphoriaâ starâs former label, Top Dawg Entertainment, during the CMJ New Music Report in 2011. Her boyfriendâs clothing company was sponsoring a show in which Lamar was performing.
Generating buzz with four EPs, SZA finally broke through the hip-hop scene with her debut studio album, Ctrl. Nowâfour Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination, and an Academy Award nod laterâthe âKill Billâ singer, 35, will share one of the worldâs biggest stages with Lamar.
Lamar announced his âAll the Starsâ collaboratorâs appearance Thursday (Jan. 23) in a joint effort with Apple Music. In the video, the Compton-born artist is taking a phone call as he walks the field at Caesars Superdome. Thatâs when heâs surprised by SZA.
The excitement was instant. âGOAT COMING,â one fan wrote on X/Twitter.

In addition to the SZA announcements, NFL fans also got a sneak peek of a Super Bowl ad featuring none other than Post Malone.
Alongside comedian Shane Gillis, the âPour Me a Drinkâ hitmaker is shown standing on a porch ringing a doorbell, Bud Light case in hand.
The pair end up cracking open a cold one while waiting for an answer. Finally, Gillis receives a text alerting him that the party is out back.
Of his third Bud Light commercial, Malone said, âWe created something truly epic and pretty damn funny together that I know the fans will love.â
