The Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud was undeniably among the music industry’s most memorable moments of 2024. Many believed Lamar dealt the death blow with the scathing “Not Like Us.” Arriving less than 20 hours after his previous diss track, “Not Like Us” took Drake to task for—among other things—the “Hotline Bling” star’s AI simulation of 2Pac and Snoop Dogg. The cultural impact was immediate, and the “Euphoria” hitmaker already has the hardware to prove.

While the televised broadcast of the 67th annual GRAMMY Awards won’t begin until 8 p.m. Eastern, the accolades have already started pouring in. And Kendrick Lamar has already collected trophies in three of the five categories he is nominated in.

“Not Like Us” won Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video at the GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony Sunday (Feb. 2) afternoon. The song’s producer, Mustard, was there to accept all three awards.

Given the often irreverent nature of social media, the jokes almost immediately followed news of Lamar’s triumph. “Kendrick already won for not like us and the show ain’t even aired yet. Drake lie down please,” one fan wrote on X/Twitter.

Impressively, this makes 20 wins so far for the 37-year-old rapper. “Not Like Us” is also up for Record of the Year and Song of the Year during tonight’s main show at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

Additionally, Lamar’s “Like That” scored nods for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. “Not Like Us” triumphed in both categories.

It’s a good time to be a Kendrick Lamar fan. The “DNA” rapper will take the stage next Sunday (Feb. 9) at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, for his highly-anticipated Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show performance.
