Kim Hae Sook Transforms Into A Young Woman In “Miss Granny” Remake “Who Is She”
KBS 2TV has unveiled a new poster for its upcoming drama “Who Is She”!
A remake of the famous film “Miss Granny,” which has spawned multiple remakes in other countries, “Who Is She” is a music romance drama about a woman in her 70s who suddenly transforms into a 20-year-old and gets a second chance at living out her dreams. Kim Hae Sook will star as Oh Mal Soon, a grandmother who unexpectedly finds herself training to debut as an idol after she returns to her 20-year-old body.
In the newly released poster, Oh Mal Soon wears a shocked expression—perhaps at her own magical transformation. Her cheek is stamped with the character for “spring,” hinting at her return to the “springtime” of youth.
The poster’s caption reads, “A stubborn old lady on the outside, but a young girl at heart?!”
Explaining why she decided to star in “Who Is She,” Kim Hae Sook shared, “I really enjoyed watching the original film. I found it very appealing that a film that had received so much love from audiences was being reinterpreted as a drama.”
“I had great chemistry with Jung Ji So, who is playing my 20-year-old self, as well as Jinyoung, Chae Won Bin, Seo Young Hee, In Gyo Jin, and the other actors,” she continued. “I was also able to gain lots of happy energy while acting together with them.”
Finally, Kim Hae Sook promised viewers, “[Our drama] is full of fun, touching moments, and entertaining excitement that will be different from the film. I can guarantee that if you watch ‘Who Is She,’ you will fall deep into its charms. Please tune in and give [the drama] lots of anticipation and interest.”
“Who Is She” will premiere on December 18 at 9:50 p.m. KST. Check out the latest teaser for the drama here!
