Meghan Markle doesn’t have a great relationship with the royal family, but King Charles reportedly has positive thoughts about the duchess’ new lifestyle brand.

Earlier this year, Meghan Markle announced the launch of her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. The Duchess of Sussex has always enjoyed the lifestyle space, and after leaving the royal family, she decided to get back into something she loved.
The royal family hasn’t publicly said anything about Meghan’s business ventures, but rumor has it that they all have thoughts on her newest endeavor — including King Charles.

It showcased all of her favorite things, including food, travel, and wellness. However, once she and Prince Harry became engaged, she was forced to shut it down. Meghan spent just under two years as an official working royal, and now that she has stepped down, she’s launched a new era in the lifestyle space. Her Netflix show With love, Meghan is set to premiere March 4, and she just announced her newest lifestyle brand: As Ever.
The news has made its way to the palace, and royal expert Richard Eden wrote on the subject for Daily Mail, saying his sources close to the king have reported that he hopes Meghan’s brand is a success. “Everyone wants it to be a success,” a palace source told Eden. “And that’s because, if it is, she and Harry won’t need to exploit their royal connections again.”
According to Eden, if Meghan’s lifestyle brand works in her favor, then there is even less of a chance she will ever come out with any kind of memoir. And that would be a good thing for all of them, given that they likely don’t want Meghan to further publicize her side of the story.
Back in early January, Meghan announced the debut of her new lifestyle series, which will touch on everything from cooking to gardening and friendship. Meghan has a few celebrity guests appearing on the show, including Mindy Kaling, and the timing is perfect for the launch of her new lifestyle brand, As Ever.
Meghan originally announced back in 2024 that the lifestyle brand would be called American Riviera Orchard, but after a few road blocks with trademark issues, she decided to rebrand to As Ever. It will likely follow a similar path to American Riviera Orchard, and Meghan did say in her video announcement that “jam is my jam,” so fans can expect that some preserves will be at least one of the products she sells.
