Kristin Davis, best known for her role as Charlotte York on "Sex and the City," recently shared a shocking story about being ghosted by a "very successful" actor after lending him $5,000.

Kristin Davis Claims 'Very Successful' Actor Borrowed $5K and VanishedWhen on her podcast, "Are You a Charlotte?," the actress revealed that a "very successful" actor once ghosted her after she lent him $5,000.
"I think this was before 'Sex and the City,' maybe between 'Melrose [Place]' and 'Sex and the City,' or maybe when I was on 'Melrose.' I donât know," Davis recalled.
At the time, she was dating an "out-of-work actor" whom she described as "very talented." During their relationship, Davis noticed alarming bill notices at his home, threatening to shut off his electricity. She also remembered the man wrecking his motorcycle, his primary mode of transportation for auditions.

"And I was like, âWhatâs happening?â And then, I think he wrecked his motorcycle, which is, like, how he got around to his auditions," she said. Sympathetic to his struggles, Davis offered to lend him $5,000, a decision she now regrets.
"Horrible mistake," she admitted. "But I just thought, like, I can help ⊠I should help this guy. Heâs so talented, which he is. Lend him money. I think it was all of $5,000 â a lot of money."

The Actor's Identity Remains UnknownDavis revealed that the loan "changed the dynamic" between them, leading to an uncomfortable shift in their relationship. "He stopped calling," she said, describing how she eventually went to his apartment and knocked on his door. "His dog was in there, and I loved his dog, and I could hear his dog, but I was like, âIs he in there and pretending that he is not there?ââ
The actor eventually called her back, questioning her impromptu visit. "And I was like, âWell, yes.â ⊠I felt so embarrassed. Like, being messy," Davis shared, adding that she wished for acknowledgment or closure from him. "I just would love some acknowledgment or whatever, which is kind of a fantasy."

A Look Back At Kristin Davis' Relationship HistoryKristin Davis has largely avoided a high-profile dating history, though there have been a few notable relationships and rumors over the years.
In the early 2010s, she was briefly linked to celebrated screenwriter and producer Aaron Sorkin known for "The West Wing" and "The Social Network," though their low-key relationship was short-lived.
In the early 2000s, rumors swirled that she dated comedian and actor Steve Martin after the two were reportedly seen together on several occasions, though neither confirmed the relationship.
There was also speculation about a romantic connection with Alec Baldwin, but this has never been substantiated, and the two remain long-time friends.
Focusing On MotherhoodDavis has often expressed her contentment with being single and prioritizing her role as a mother. She adopted her daughter, Gemma Rose, in 2011, and her son, Wilson, in 2018, frequently sharing how fulfilled she feels raising her children.
"Gemma takes up such a big, big part [of my life] in such a wonderful way," the actress told Haute Living in 2013. "Like take going to work: it used to be really important to me, but now I'm like, 'Okay, I've got to go to work. All right.' I used to be like, 'I want to go to work, I want to go to work!' "

Kristin Davis Reflects On AdoptionYears later, Davis shared her experiences with adoption and the challenges of raising a child of a different race.
"I am White. I have lived in White privilege. I thought I knew before adopting my daughter that I was in White privilege, that I understood what that meant," she explained to People. "But until you actually have a child, which is like your heart being outside you, and that heart happens to be in a Brown body, and you have people who are actively working against your child, itâs hard. It fills me with terror."
She also discussed how she offers Gemma daily encouragement and positive affirmations, "I always tell her ... that her curls are beautiful, 'Your Black skin is beautiful. You're beautiful. You're powerful. You're a goddess.'"
