Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet recently proved they’re still in love with their Golden Globes appearance. The reality star started dating the actor in 2023. They’ve kept the details of their romance under wraps, but a source recently revealed that Kylie rented a castle for the Kardashian-Jenner clan to meet Chalamet after just six months of dating.
Kardashian-Jenner fans never expected Kylie Jenner to date Timothée Chalamet. The couple surprised everyone with their public kiss in 2023. Since then, they haven’t opened up about their romance, instead choosing to keep the details of their relationship to themselves. While Kylie has previously shared a lot of personal details via reality TV, she and Chalamet might be more serious than fans initially anticipated.
A source recently told MailOnline that Kylie made extensive plans for her family to meet Chalamet during the couple’s first six months of dating. Kylie allegedly rented the Reschio Hotel, a converted 10th-century castle in Umbria, Italy, during the summer of 2023. She then invited her mother, Kris Jenner, and her sisters to the European location to meet Chalamet.
“Kris, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall —they’d all met Timothée before, but the relationship was very new at that point, and they wanted to get to know him properly,” the source alleged. “It wasn’t until Timothée went on that holiday with the girls and Kris — and a bunch of Kylie’s friends — that he was considered part of the family; it was sort of like an induction holiday.”
The source added that the couple “fell in love” during the trip and “came back from that holiday a real couple.”
Hotel rooms start around $1,200 per night, with the Tower Suite available for over $4,000 per night. It’s uncler what rooms Kylie chose for her and Chalamet or her family — but we’re betting she went all-out for the occasion.

Additionally, Khloé Kardashian “liked” a post from a fan account that showed photos and videos of Kylie with Chalamet at the star-studded event.
The Kardashian-Jenner family members don’t publicly gush about Kylie and Chalamet. And it may partially be for Chalamet’s comfort. In April 2024, fans noticed that Kim Kardashian appeared to conceal Chalamet’s name tag at their family’s Easter dinner. Chalamet likely wants to keep his career at the forefront of everyone’s minds instead of his relationship, thus possibly asking for his name tag to remain blurred.
Those close to Kylie Jenner might worry about Timothée Chalamet’s commitment to their romance. A source told DailyMail.com in June 2024 that Kylie’s inner circle had “fears” over the Dune actor’s investment.
“Kylie is trying to hold onto her relationship with Timothée, but those around her fear it is becoming evident that he’s just not as invested in their relationship as she is anymore,” the insider alleged. “Kylie is madly in love with Timothée and she put so much into this relationship. She went so public with their romance because she was sure it would last. But those closest to her feel he doesn’t make her a priority, and her sisters are now telling her to walk away, but she can’t.”
It seems her sisters have likely changed their tune since then. All signs currently point to the Kardashian-Jenner family approving of Chalamet.
