Kym Marsh's heartbreaking realisation as phone snatched out of her hands

Welsh TV presenter Gethin Jones has shared his sympathy with his Morning Live co-star Kym Marsh, as they discuss her "emotional" loss. Speaking on Monday's (March 10) Morning Live Kym revealed that she had her phone stolen recently as she did a piece to camera about phone theft.
After talking to viewers about how her phone was snatched from her hand while she was just walking along the street, Gethin said to Kym: "I feel really bad for you though, because you said 'the mistake I made was I got my phone out on a busy street' I mean, all you are doing is sending a text."
Kym replied: "It is so annoying. The thing for me is not only is everything on everyone's phone these days, all your important information but it was the emotional stuff, I've now lost messages that my dad sent, things I can never get back, it is that emotional side of it as well."
Gethin added: "That's the stuff that hurts." Kym's dad, Dave, passed away from prostate cancer in January 2024 and he often appeared on Morning Live to talk openly and raise awareness about the disease. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter.
Kym announced that her dad had passed away in January 2024 in a post on Instagram. At the time she wrote: "For the first time in my lifeâŚ.I have no words. I love you dad. Always and forever. Rest easy Pops. Goodnight godbless."
The actress is also known for starring in Waterloo Road, Coronation Street and the pop band Hear'Say. She shot to fame playing Michelle Connor in the hit ITV1 soap Coronation Street, including winning awards for the role.
