Lady Gaga Went Goth in a Victorian Gown and 90-Year-Old Necklace at the 2025 Grammys
Lady Gaga arrived at the 2025 Grammy Awards wearing a Vivienne Westwood Victorian-style gown and a 90-year-old necklace. The singer is nominated for two awards, including Song of the Year.
It's been 15 years since Lady Gaga made her Grammys debut, and her style has come a long way since first attending the awards show in an intergalactic three-dimensional Armani Privé dress with a metallic orb in her hand. And while she's recently toned down the fashion theatrics, opting for more understated looks, Mother Monster still knows how to make a statement when it comes to dressing for the red carpet. And her outfit at the 2025 Grammy Awards is proof she hasn't lost her way.
For the occasion, Gaga went full goth in a dramatic Victorian-inspired Vivienne Westwood couture gown. The masterpiece was a mixed-fabric gown that featured a leather bodice with a lace-up corset, high neck collar, pronounced shoulder pads that jutted up, and long sleeves. As for the bottom half, the dress featured a trailing, floor-grazing taffeta skirt that had swaths of fabric draping throughout.
Gaga committed to the Vampire-chic bit with a Tiffany & Co. necklace from the brand's 1930s archive. She is the first to wear the piece, which features a tourmaline, onyx, and pearls, on the red carpet. For a final touch, she added stud earrings and a smattering of rings.

As for beauty, Gaga opted for even more edgy accents via bleached eyebrows, a smoked out wing, a red-tinted lip, and a shiny black manicure. She wore her jet-black hair down with her baby bangs spread across her forehead.

Gaga is up for two awards, including Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Die With a Smile," featuring Bruno Mars—adding to the astounding 38 nominations over her career. Of those nominations, the pop star has taken home 13 awards total, winning her first two in 2010 for Best Dance Recording ("Poker Face") and Best Dance/Electronic Album (The Fame).
Over the past two years, Gaga has been absent at the annual award show, with her last appearance being at the 2022 Grammys. It was there that she performed a sartorial 180, ditching her typical wild style for Old Hollywood glamour with a black-and-white Armani Privé gown with a full train and a retro updo.

Delighting fans with a second outfit change that evening, she wore a strapless mint green Ellie Saab gown with a giant bow in the back for a tribute performance in honor of jazz singer Tony Bennett, who was battling Alzheimer's disease at the time. He later died in July 2023 at 96 years old.
