"She looks and sounds like a literal angel," a third declared online as another praised the Oscar winning singer and wrote: "Hold my Hand was so appropriate, sheâs such a sweet gal." One fan was moved to tears, admitting online: "I'm crying that was so beautiful."
Lady Gaga's performance comes as Donald Trump becomes the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl game. Earlier this week, Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar, stirred up some controversy among his girlfriend Taylor Swift's fans when he expressed his excitement about playing in front of Trump.
Despite Taylor's public criticism of Trump and her endorsement of his political opponent Kamala Harris during the previous election, Travis welcomed the news of Trump's attendance. "That's awesome, it's a great honour," the 35 year old said. "No matter who the president is, I know I'm excited because it's the biggest game of my life. Having the president there, it's the best country in the world and that's pretty cool."
During the presidential race, Taylor and Trump had a public disagreement after Taylor endorsed Harris, leading Trump to post on his social media platform Truth that he "hated" the singer. However, Trump later admitted that he liked Travis "even though he may be a liberal and probably can't stand me! "
Trump also commended Travis' teammate, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who similarly welcomed the news of Trump's presence in New Orleans. "I didn't see that clip but obviously it's cool to hear that he's seen me play football and respects the game that I play," Patrick commented. "It's always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president, someone in the top position in our country."
