Lee Jung Eun Shows Heartwarming Maternal Love For Shin Eun Soo In New Drama “Light Shop”
Disney+’s upcoming drama “Light Shop” has shared new stills featuring Lee Jung Eun and Shin Eun Soo!
“Light Shop” follows the story of a unique lamp store that illuminates a dark alley and draws in mysterious guests with hidden secrets. The series is based on a webtoon by artist Kang Full. After writing the drama adaptation of his webtoon “Moving,” Kang Full also wrote the script for this project, which marks actor Kim Hee Won’s directorial debut.
In the drama, Lee Jung Eun portrays Yoo Hee, who sends her daughter on an errand to the light shop every day. Shin Eun Soo plays Hyun Joo, the daughter who visits the shop daily to keep promises to her mother, only to encounter strange incidents.
The newly released stills beautifully capture the warm chemistry between Yoo Hee and Hyun Joo. One photo shows Yoo Hee with a worried expression during a heavy rainstorm, while another features her holding an umbrella for her daughter. Another image depicts the two walking together under one umbrella in the rain, heightening anticipation for the story behind their relationship.
Lee Jung Eun expressed their admiration for Kang Full’s work, saying, “The characters’ expressions are depicted so delicately in Kang Full’s original work that it honestly takes my breath away.” She added, “I pondered what emotions they must be experiencing to show such expressions.”
Shin Eun Soo also shared her excitement about the project, stating, “I feel blessed to be able to work on a project by a director I admire with such esteemed senior actors.” Regarding the chemistry with Lee Jung Eun, she remarked, “It was great from day one. I feel lucky to portray her daughter. She took care of me like a real mother, which allowed us to portray a warm dynamic. I’m also grateful for her patience and encouragement during the emotional scenes, which helped me deliver an authentic performance.”
“Light Shop” will consist of a total of eight episodes. Four episodes will be available on December 4, followed by the release of two episodes each week for the next two weeks.
