It's fair to say Lewis Hamilton was a fan of Serena Williams' surprise cameo during Super Bowl LIX.
The tennis icon appeared during Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl LIX halftime show, midway through the Philadelphia Eagles' 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

And the US rapper's performance will certainly live long in the memory, bringing out a host of huge names to join in the rendition of 'Not Like Us'.
This included SZA and Samuel L. Jackson, but it was Williams' brief appearance which caused an explosion online.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion spent less than five seconds on screen, during which time she captured the world's attention with her crip-walking skills, a dance move popularised by gang members in her and Lamar's hometown of Compton, California.
Williams' role in the jaw-dropping show sparked plenty of debate, especially given that Lamar's song is a diss track aimed at rapper Drake, who she reportedly dated in 2011.

But one person who certainly enjoyed the display was Formula One star Hamilton, who voiced his approval on social media.
The seven-time F1 world champion shared a clip of Williams' crip walk on his Instagram story, alongside the caption: "Iconic."
Hamilton also had his say on the sporting action, as he praised those involved in the Super Bowl separate post, and congratulated the Eagles on their victory.
The 40-year-old is known to be a huge fan of the NFL, having attended previous Super Bowls, as well as becoming a part-owner of the Denver Broncos in 2022.

He wrote: "Great game, great show. Mad respect to all the athletes who went out and gave it their all. Congrats to the Eagles. Deserved."
Williams and Hamilton are two of the most successful athletes of all time, with both among the conversation as the greatest to ever compete in their respective fields.

The decorated pair have also used their platforms to advocate for equality in sport and society, with Hamilton quick to praise Williams' culturally significant Super Bowl appearance.
And this wasn't the first time that the Brit has spoken in glowing terms about the American, with the two sharing a close bond.
In a 2024 interview with GQ Sports, Hamilton was asked to name his favourite sportsperson outside of motorsport.
To this, he immediately replied: "Serena. It has to be Serena.
"She is just a bundle of fun, has great energy, serious competitor, loves karaoke with a real passion and she's just a really playful person."
Meanwhile, in 2023, Hamilton revealed the 43-year-old retired star has been a source of advice and support for him throughout his time at the top of sport.

Speaking to US magazine People, he said: “It can be quite a lonely experience being at the top of your sport.
"So, to be able to confide in other individuals who have experienced something similar.
"Serena and I - we talk a lot about sports and competition, and when we talk to each other about the struggles or the successes, only us in our little bubble can understand.”
Hamilton added: “When you’re talking to Serena, you’re like: 'Yeah, I know Williams, I know what you’re talking about'.
"So, it’s pretty unique and a privilege to have those conversations."

And Hamilton may well be looking to Williams for more guidance as he prepares to embark on a new chapter of his career.
The Englishman gets his 2025 F1 season underway in March, where he will target an eighth world title with new team Ferrari after announcing his spectacular switch from rivals Mercedes in February 2024.
