The 2025 Oscar awards have been thrust into the spotlight not just for the cinematic achievements but for one "messy moment", which saw actress Lily Rose Depp come face to face with her ex-partner TimotheĂÂe Chalamet.
As the prestigious awards ceremony unfolded, Lily came out on stage and was coincidentally placed in front of a sketched image of her former boyfriend TimotheĂÂe, from his biopic A Complete Unknown - something, which did not escape eagle-eyed viewers. The potentially uncomfortable scenario played out while TimotheĂÂe and his current partner Kylie Jenner were seated in view.
Social media users, engaging on X, did not hold back their reactions, with one saying: "something about lily rose being DIRECTLY infront of timothee and kylie is making me giggle so hard. like kylie is looking at her gf inspo right infront of her."
Lily-Rose Depp was coincidentally placed in front of a sketched image of her former partner Timothee Chalamet, who was nominated for his role as Bob Dylan in 'A Complete Unknown'Another user highlighted the awkwardness of the moment adding: "putting a drawing of timotheĂÂe behind lily-rose when he's sitting to kylie is MESSY." Whilst a third chimed in: "Them putting the TimotheĂÂe drawing behind Lily Rose is really something," reports the Mirror US.
The incident has only fuelled conversation on parallels between Kylie and TimotheĂÂeâÂÂs relationship with the romance shared by the actor and Lily. TimotheĂÂe and Lily previously dated in 2018 after meeting on the set of Netflix's âÂÂThe KingâÂÂ. Now, five years after they parted ways, their paths crossed again at the illustrious awards ceremony where TimotheĂÂe received a nomination for Best Actor, while Lily graced the event as a presenter. The awards saw independent film, Anora, walk away with five wins of its six nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actress. TimotheĂÂe Chalamet missed out on Best Actor to the award season favourite Adrien Brody for his role in The Brutalist.
