Loose Women's Charlene White in awkward apology to Coleen Nolan live on air

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan was left in tears on the ITV daytime programme after she was surprised by her nearest and dearest including her children and siblings

Charlene White, a fan-favourite on Loose Women, apologised for missing fellow panellist Coleen Nolan on her 60th birthday celebration. In an emotional episode of ITV's Loose Women Coleen Nolan was in tears to see the surprises her co-presenters had in store.

Coleen's big day was marked with an ambush by her loved ones including a surprise appearance from her three children who were sneakily brought into the studio by her fellow hosts. But not all members of the Loose Women team could attend.

On Tuesday's episode, Charlene White told Coleen: "I didn't get to see you last week" prompting Coleen to ask, "No you didn't, where were you?".

Charlene explained "On your 60th. I had to do the other job so I couldn't come to your surprise celebration but you had even more celebrations throughout the week didn't you?," reports Leicestershire Live.

Recalling the celebrations Coleen said: "Well the Monday on Loose was just incredible and I cried all day and it went on all night. It was surprise after surprise, my kids in the audience and they've never all been here together."

The emotional sharing continued as a clip was played showing Coleen's family moment when her siblings also joined in on the surprise. "My brother also came out. My older brother that I am kissing there, he never leaves Blackpool," said Coleen.

"My sister came on and I thought she wouldn't come because she was in Dublin touring so she's not going to fly over and when I thought I can't cry anymore out popped Brenda singing. I think they were trying to kill me off and I was thinking this might be my last show and they didn't tell me."

Describing her birthday celebration as "too emotional" Coleen said she wasn't aware of what was planned for her. She had come into the studio blindfolded only to have it removed and find herself face-to-face with an incredible surprise from her sons Jake Roche and Shane Nolan and daughter Ciara Fensome. There was even more in store for Coleen. She was treated to a touching video message from Pete Wicks, her peer from Strictly Come Dancing and a good friend since their time performing on the Real Full Monty together.
