Loose Women stars pay tribute to Linda Nolan after death aged 65
Stars of ITV Loose Women paid tribute to the singer
Linda Nolan has sadly died at the age of 65, her family have announced. The singer was part of the group The Nolans alongside her sisters Maureen, Bernie, Denise, Anne and Loose Women star, Colleen Nolan.
They scored hits including the 1980 disco classic I'm In The Mood for Dancing. A statement was shared on X this afternoon (January 15) announcing Linda's death.
It said: "It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved Linda Nolan. She faced incurable cancer with courage, grace & determination, inspiring millions.

"Surrounded by family, she passed peacefully. A pop icon and beacon of hope, Linda will never be forgotten."
Publicist Dermot McNamara added: "Over the weekend, Linda was taken by ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and admitted with double pneumonia. In the early hours of Tuesday morning, she went into a coma and into end-of-life care, surrounded by her devoted family.
"At around 10.20am on Wednesday January 15, she passed peacefully, with her loving siblings by her bedside, ensuring she was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments, aged 65.
"The family said the hospital couldn't do enough, they were tireless and made it so much more bearable. Linda's legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment.
"She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others. Rest in peace, Linda. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten."
Nolan was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and given the all clear in 2011, but in 2017 was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. It spread and by 2023 was in her brain.
Loose Women presenter Christine Lampard announced Nolan's death on Wednesday's episode of the ITV daytime show, describing it as "very sad news"
Co-panellist Nadia Sawalha said it was an "awful shock" and said the show's team was "sending our love".
