Lorraine Kelly was quick to shut down rumours that she'd had 'fillers' after viewers expressed concern over her 'swollen face' on Thursday.

The 65-year-old ITV host appeared on Loose Women, where she revealed a black eye and shared that fans had been worried about the injury.

Linda Robson, one of the panellists, noted: "You've got a bit of a shiner haven't you" to which Lorraine responded: "I have! I will explain, yesterday, you know as women we try to do too many things at one time and we try to do it really fast?"

She recounted the incident, saying: "I had a massive bag of washing, a huge big washing basket, I couldn't see and was going from the kitchen to the living room, where there's a wee step, and my slippers are too big, I fell over and then I fell onto a rhino - as you do! I hit my face on it!"

Despite the fall, Lorraine praised her makeup artist for covering up the bruise: "I thought I'd be fine and I woke up this morning with the biggest shiner, this big black eye, I thought I won't say anything, I won't say anything and Helen, our fantastic make-up artist, has actually done a brilliant job! Hasn't she done a great job?"

When asked about the pain, Lorraine downplayed it: "It's okay... it's a wee tiny bit but I just feel a bit silly! Also, can I just say, somebody phoned in and said: 'Have I had fillers'... no!", reports Bristol Live.

She added: "A lot of people were very kindly, a lot of folks were saying: 'Are you okay?', 'have you got an allergy?' Our viewers are so lovely! They were like: 'You should try this!'".

Finally, Lorraine clarified the cause of her injury, insisting: "It's not an allergy, it's not fillers!"

Lorraine had a packed schedule on Thursday as she juggled her appearance on Loose Women with hosting her eponymous show 'Lorraine', which is broadcast Monday to Friday at 9am on ITV. In the latest episode, she chatted with celebs like fashion icon Twiggy and TOWIE's Pete Wicks.

Not stopping there, Lorraine popped into the This Morning studio to discuss their new initiative, March4March. She has previously expressed her enthusiasm for the campaign, saying: "I'm so pleased we are launching a campaign dedicated to destigmatizing the conversation around mental health.

"I'm so grateful to the amazing names who've already agreed to bravely share their stories and pledge their support for such a worthy cause.

"I'm looking forward to getting out walking and talking and I look forward to taking our amazing viewers along with me."

Loose Women continues on weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV and ITV X.
