The Sun can reveal that Scott’s doubts over Tina Stinnes, 29, continued to grow over recent days and despite matching at the fire pit he felt it fairest on her to call time on their relationship.
It left the marketing entrepreneur feeling lost in the villa and he subsequently checked out.
Scott’s decision left his fellow Islanders devastated after he grew close to a number of the lads especially.
A source said: “Since it first came to light Scott wasn’t feeling it with Tina on Vegas night, he’s struggled to feel free within the situation and push past his doubts.

“On tonight's show viewers will see him continue to work through his concerns about their connection before the Islanders are then plunged into a recoupling.
“Scott was unable to get past the feeling Tina wasn’t right for him and his biggest priority was not wasting her precious time in the villa.
“He knows this is a big opportunity for her in love and life and would never want to ruin that.
“After taking some time out with the dedicated Love Island welfare team, Scott decided that the best thing he could do for himself was to remove himself from the situation.

“He’s done so much work over recent years on self-love and he didn’t want to force a connection for the sake of it.”
Scott had been top of Love Island bookers’ wishlist for years but he consistently turned them down.

Speaking to The Sun before heading on to the All Stars series earlier this month, Scott said: “It feels like the stars have aligned.
“I've always tried to almost distance myself from the show a bit, I wanted to kind of prove to myself that I'm more than just Love Island.
“So I finally felt like the last couple of years have gotten to that point, and then when I got the call I just felt in my intuition, this is the time.
“I felt like I've been on such an incredible journey that this is now the time to kind of go back and show the new Scott.
“I love the show, I love everyone. I just knew, just felt it in my stomach, really.
“The format just works. Two of the couples from my original series are still now married - Cara and Nathan, Alex and Liv.
“I’d love to meet someone myself and settle down.”
The Manchester businessman, 36, was the oldest contestant in the official ITV2 show after Marcel Sommerville was voted out in the first week.
Scott originally starred in Love Island's second series back in 2016, and left the villa with Kady McDermott.
They moved in together but split shortly after he was arrested on suspicion of assault following a blazing row with Kady.
Scott, who now runs Manchester-based firm the Social PR, was later released without charge.
His All Stars exit comes after he squared up to Luca in a hairy moment during a villa challenge.
Luca was convinced Scott didn't fancy Tina and said so in front of the group.
Tina was then at risk of being dumped when she was voted by the public as one of four least popular islanders.
