Luke Combs Set To Make Country Music History at Lollapalooza
Country star Luke Combs will be the very first country act to close out the iconic Lollapalooza festival this year.
It’s about to be another big year for country music. Country star Luke Combs is set to be the very first country act to close out the upcoming Lollapalooza music festival this year. Combs will head to Chicago’s Grant Park this year with a number of big names in a variety of genres, and it’s going to be one of the most packed Lollapalooza fests in years.
Luke Combs will be one of the festival’s headliners this year, along with Tyler, The Creator, TWICE, Korn, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, A$AP Rocky, and RÜFÜS DU SOL. Fans can expect a ton of other musical acts to perform, including Doechii, Cage The Elephant, Sierra Ferrell, Colby Acuff, Foster The People, Clairo, Bleachers, T-Pain, and dozens more. In total, a whopping 180 artists will perform on eight different stages during the four-day fest.
Historically, Lollapalooza has been pretty diverse in its various lineups. However, like most big music festivals, they’ve historically left out a lot of potential country acts. Luke Combs headlining the fest alone is a big deal. And the fact that he’s closing out the festival on August 3 is an even bigger deal, considering that no country star has closed out the festival in the 34 years since it was launched in 1991.

A few other country acts will perform at Lollapalooza this year, too. A few names include Wyatt Flores, Ole 60, and more.
It’s not exactly shocking that Combs was selected to headline the festival. The country singer has had a very busy year and started 2025 with a tour of Australia and New Zealand. He released Fathers & Sons last year and has been teasing new music nonstop in recent months. Combs is also set to continue his North American tour in April, starting with the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 6 through his closing performance on October 25 at Bootleggers Bonfire in Miramar Bech, Florida.
This year’s Lollapalooza music festival will take place at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois. The festival will kick off on July 31 and end on August 3. Don’t miss your chance to see Luke Combs make history!
