Major plans to 'revitalise' busy Glasgow area revealed
Major plans for a brand-new development in Glasgow have been submitted.
A proposal to create a new mixed-use development at 145 Elliot Street, Lancefield Quay, has been submitted to Glasgow City Council.
TT Group has revealed its plans to create new homes and a 'vibrant community' in the area, which will replace the demolished data centre that previously occupied the site.
The proposed development is designed to contribute to the ongoing revitalisation of the River Clyde waterfront, offering a diverse range of accommodation options including student housing, co-living spaces, Build-to-Rent (BtR) units, and privately owned residences.

It will also offer commercial units which will aim to serve both the new residents and the wider community.
The project also aims to create an inviting residential hub that enhances the broader regeneration of this part of Glasgow, transforming the site into an active, vibrant destination along the city’s riverside.
A spokesperson for TT Group said: "This submission follows an extensive period of community consultation, with engagement events held in May and June last year.
"These sessions provided local residents an opportunity to learn about the project, interact with the development team, and offer feedback.
"In response, TT Group refined the final plans, underscoring their commitment to meaningful, ongoing community engagement."
Sam Rosenkranz, Senior Development Manager at TT Group stated: “We are delighted to have submitted our application for a new community development project at Lancefield Quay, Elliot Street; a significant milestone in our journey.
“Through the delivery of quality accommodation, carefully thought-out public realm spaces and commercial units, we remain confident that the proposals will enhance this area of Glasgow, which is currently undergoing significant transformative change, whilst also serving to address the shortage of PBSA for the city’s thriving student population.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank members of the local community and interested parties who have engaged with us throughout the consultation process and provided us with their valuable feedback.
"We look forward to continued engagement as we bring forward our proposals and set out on our wider vision to regenerate the local community”.
A planning application was submitted to Glasgow City Council in January 2025.
