Mark Wright has found himself being flooded with messages after he was seen supporting his dad with a personal problem that he 'wouldn't admit' for a decade.
The presenter and his dad Mark Wright Snr - or 'Big Mark' as he’s affectionately known - have joined forces again as part of a Boots Hearingcare campaign to help encourage three million Brits living with untreated hearing loss to take action.
Mark Snr first noticed a deterioration in his hearing at the age of 50 and recalled how family members complained about the TV volume being too high or observed that he was talking loudly. He also spoke about struggling to hear friends speaking, which left him feeling "vague".
In a new video shared on Instagram, Mark shared with his 1.9 million followers: "For the last 10 years, my dad @bigmarkwright hearing has been getting worse - not that he’d admit it! We always joked it was selective hearing, but the truth is, it was affecting his life (and ours!) way more than he let on.
"So, we’ve teamed up with @bootsuk Hearingcare for World Hearing Day, to chat about how much things have changed since he got his hearing aids. Honestly, it has been a life-changer."
Mark went on: "He’s back to his old self and for us, it feels like we have our dad back. If you or a loved one are struggling with hearing, don’t put it off.
