Married At First Sight Viewers Question Season 18âs Cast For Hiding The Cheating Scandal Throughout The Season (They All Had Ideas Of What Was Going On)
MAFS season 18's cast seems to be hiding drama.
Married At First Sight viewers are questioning the current season’s cast for not speaking on the cheating scandal, which many believe is between David Trimble and Madison Myers, despite having ideas of what was going on. Throughout Married At First Sight season 18, there have been signs that some side activities were going on between David and women who weren’t his MAFS bride, Michelle Tomblin. While it wasn’t necessarily proven that it was Madison that David was stepping out with, it’s become clear that it’s likely Madison who was on the other end of his scandalous texts and long disappearances.
In the most recent episode of MAFS’s aftershow, Afterparty, host Keisha Knight Pulliam asked Karla Juarez if she had any suspicions surrounding the affair David has admitted to. Specifically, Keisha asked about whether or not Karla could see a world where it’s revealed that David was cheating on Michelle with Madison. Karla (via MAFSFan) revealed there were absolutely suspicions she had during the season about David and Madison. Detailing a story about going to a club with Madison, Karla shared that David “showed up” and the pair “disappeared for about five songs” before returning back to the dancefloor together.
While Karla shared that she wasn’t sure if anything had happened between them, her story was enough to raise the eyebrows of Keisha and her fellow MAFS participants, Michelle and Ikechi Ojoré. Karla’s story was enough to push viewers to question why the cast hadn’t spoken up about the affair until it was too late to do anything about it. “Karla knows EVERYTHING. She knew it then,” @breastandchestbuddy shared, while @danaschkennedy explained, “Karla out here doing god’s work and spilling the tea.” While some viewers were interested in learning more, others were confused about why this information wasn’t revealed earlier.
What MAFS Season 18’s Cast Hiding The Cheating Scandal Means For Viewer Perception
Although there has been criticism about the cast potentially hiding things in a similar way to the Married At First Sight season 17 cast, the MAFS season 18 cast has simply been keeping something personal quiet as the show’s been airing. While the MAFS season 17 cast chose to create fabricated storylines instead of sharing their genuinely failing relationships, the current cast of the series has been open about their relationships, even in their difficulty. As Michelle and David have worked through their relationship, issues have cropped up that they’ve been open about despite hiding the cheating scandal.

While it’s clear that some issues with the format of MAFS exist and allow its participants to continually hide their experiences on the show, the cast choosing not to talk about a potential affair isn’t the worst thing possible. Though viewers likely wanted to hear more about the affair, which could alter their perception of the way the MAFS season 18 cast is behaving, it’s clear that the cast hasn’t been opening up about it for a reason. Despite viewers wanting to know the whole truth, the Married At First Sight cast appears to be sharing some solidarity.
Our Take On MAFS Season 18’s Cast Hiding The Scandal
Although the format of Married At First Sight shouldn’t necessarily give viewers the option to hide their relationships from the cameras, the fact that participants are typically able to find a way to keep things private is interesting. Married At First Sight season 18’s cast often brings their relationships to the table for open discussions, so hearing them hiding things can be difficult for viewers, or at least questionable. While some of the information about the cheating scandal may be more public, the Married At First Sight cast appears to be trying to keep information private for the parties involved.
